Today.

Met Éireann issued four weather warnings.

One Status Orange wind warning is for Galway, Mayo, Clare and Kerry and will be valid from 6am Saturday until 3am Sunday.

A second Status Orange wind warning is for Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo, from noon Saturday until 3am Sunday.

A Status Yellow rain warning has been issued for Munster, Connacht and Donegal, from midnight tomorrow night until midnight on Saturday.

A Status Yellow wind warning for Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Roscommon, Cork, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford from 9am Saturday until 3am Sunday.

    My heart goes out to those communities already affected by flooding, whose nightmare is set to continue. And I read that experts say that this is likely to become the norm as our world climate changes.

      + 1 Imagine the stress they’re under. I heard one guy say a couple of days ago he was going to try to get some sleep that night as the council were out, helping to pump the water out. Nightmare.
