This morning.
Via Echo Live:
Organisers of this year’s Youghal St Patrick’s Day parade have cancelled the event over concerns about the current coronavirus outbreak.
It comes as the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland rises to 13, including one case in a person who does not have a history of travel to the affected areas. This patient, a male from the south of the country, is being treated at Cork University Hospital.

Good to see that someone is making a commonsense decision.
+1
Youghal (don’t) come back now!
Well done Y’All
We postponed it for foot and mouth. I don’t see why we wouldn’t for this.
Because farmers incomes matter..
in the UK theyre saying it will spread significantly. Here, we have bare-faced lair, Holohan saying the opposite.
Sarah Doyle from the HSE seemed to give a much different and honest take on the whole thing oddly enough:

A bit of sense prevailing. The organizers leading the way while the Holohan and Harris dither. Same as the school in Meath, which closed, but which was forced back into opening.
This will be proof of the pudding as regards FF FG LAB PD gouging out what used to be a proper health service.
Makes sense.
The economy will go down in flames. “We’ Back, Baby” needs a sanity-check anyway.

Dungarvan, Waterford just announced their parade is cancelled.
Carlow IT campus in Wexford has been evacuated due to a suspected case.
The Carlow IT is in Wexford?
Yep. Wexford passed over for RTC or Uni status, so the next best was a room with Carlow IT written on it.
Youghals shamrocks are weird, that is all.
Never mind the shamrock’s, Youghal is weird.
You’re not wrong.
