Ah here.

Won’t someone please think of the camera, sound and lighting crew (and anyone else mingling in the cabin)?

Last week: Claironavirus

Did some have to set up camera, lighting and sound then have to dismantle again? Surely that’s not safe.

Will RTE next be interviewing Eoghan Murphy from a doorway?
Sorry, I know homelessness is not du jour..

In all fairness, it displays the most incredible sense of humour.. and, for that.. I applaud them..

    I know it’s probably a lot more serious but…

And the make up person using a 6’ make up brush.
Lovely shed mind you. Her wheelie bins must be top notch too.
Was she coughing and spluttering during the interview?

While this has elements of humour, it is an issue that crossed my mind. Many of the RTE and other media crews have, by the nature of their work, had to expose themselves to a somewhat higher risk of contracting the virus.

My own local station, KFM, has for the past week or so put in place measures so that their staff can work fully from home. All interviews are now over the phone, and they have pretty much cancelled all sporting programming (obviously, no sports, nothing to report). I am sure others have done the same.

But I can tell you that had I had to broadcast from my shed, you would have a lot more stuff in the background, and it would not have so much clean clean walls :)

In my shed, a working lamp would just have revealed more horrors! Including a bad choice lamp from… well, let us say a while back :)
