This really bothered me as a little kid. As soon as there is something in the offing, out of the bed he gets. Better off Charlie and his parents moving out and leaving the rest to the NHS.

20 years in the bed with 3 others pretending he’s a cripple then at the mere mention of financial gain and free chocolate, he’s up dancing within 5 minute. Scumbag.

I have to admit I never understood the appeal of the film. I will not repeat the many things said about the film that are creepy, but as a kid I found this much more disturbing than many thrillers and horror films of the time.

I read the book and the sequel and enjoyed them, but the film just weirded me out.
