This afternoon.
Lawyer Cathal Malone tweetz:
Was sitting in Smithfield Square with a colleague (appropriately distanced!) when the guards pulled up from nowhere with orders to clear the Square as “public gatherings are now banned”.

We can trace these issues back to The Gathering of 2013
So I gather.
A tad harsh on it there.. Annie West published her picture/stories of ,”The Gathering” – I love her.
And we now have Gardai with as little as 5 weeks training with these kind of powers…
unlikely that they will be out and about. They will be confined to stations – answering the phones and making tae.
So?
The newly qualified gardaí will be serving alongside more experienced members to help provide their practical training. This was made perfectly clear when the news was announced.
Well maybe stay home George and you won’t have to worry about it..
But I hear quorums are exempt
Nightly in Smithfield TBh.
Gov announcement today said no more than 4 people gathered unless they are from the same household, and I assume the no more than 4 people are 2 meters apart then the Gardai should not bother you.
Careful, or they’ll take you to court..
