Because of this my bus is having to put its prices up. Now it’s far cheaper to drive myself and park in town (there’s two of us) than get the bus.
Congratulations DCC. I’ve no doubt I’m not the only one.
Easy, introduce a congestion charge, then it will be cheaper to get the bus again.
– why should private enterprises get to use a valuable resource that is owned and paid for by the wider community, free of charge?
Yes this must cost at least 20 cents per passenger.
Your bus doesn’t have to stop on O’Connell Street…
Since when was O’Connell St a designated coach park? No Coaches should be parking on O’Connell street.
Parking is allowed on O’Connell Street? No wonder it’s such a nightmare to cycle.
I was thinking that’s it’s the right time now to properly fill in the potholes and sunken manholes while there’s no traffic around.
a) Why is there coach parking on the city’s main street?
b) Why is it cheaper than the council coach park in Sheriff Street, rather than double the price? (And somewhere else. Coaches shouldn’t be parked on city streets at all.)
And where are they going to park – in the cycle lane? Or on the footpath.
Extortion… no other word for it
