The Cabin In The Woods

at

Last night.

On RTÉ’s Six One News.

Marty Morrissey delivered his GAA report from a shed.

The broadcaster didn’t report that he had any coronavirus symptoms.

More as we get it.

If you are wise, you’ll listen to me

I bet they are really in the RTE weather studio – and they are projecting an image of a shed in the background!!!

How long could a GAA report possibly be right now?

“Here’s Marty with the gah – how’s she looking, Marty?”

    “Nothing doing, Brian”

“Thanks Marty – over to you, Evelyn”

Goodbye Horses playing in the background.

“Would you ride me? I’d ride me so hard.”

Time to stop having sports updates on the news. There’s no sport and telling us sport is cancelled doesn’t require a sports journalist. Put the resources into something more useful.

It’s filler. BBC Radio 4’s Today programme devotes about 3 minutes max to it in the morning then get sback to business
RTE’s Morning Ireland would be happy to let Des Cahill ramble on for 15 minutes. Newstalk has a sports bulletin every half an hour. It’s lazy

    Anyone else remember Captain Pugwash?

Roger the Cabin Boy? (+ Master Bates, Seaman Staines, etc)

    No thanks.

How long until Marty’s roots start showing, or has he stockpiled extra reserves before going into lockdown?
