Andrew McGinley and his now deceased children Conor, Carla and Darragh; a letter from Mr McGinley in which he has appealed for correspondence; a box of correspondence since sent to Andrew
Last Friday.
Andrew McGinley, whose three children were found dead in their Dublin home in January and for whom he launched a YouTube channel featuring videos celebrating their lives, made an appeal on Twitter.
He wrote that he was struggling with isolation and appealed for letters.
This morning he tweeted a picture of two boxes from An Post containing hundreds of letters and thanked all who wrote to him…
I possibly should have thought this through 😀
Thank you all

Great news from Megan (aged 10 in Stepaside)
When you adopt an animal with WWF, the animal does not come to your house.
Sonya – please tell Megan that I might consider it now as I was going to adopt a tiger 😀

Maria – thank you for the scratch card, I won a tenner 😀
Sean – I’m not a doctor so stop scratching it, apply some Sudocreme and get yourself to A&E.
Karen – ring your mother.
Only another 950 to read. Seriously enjoying this so thank you all so much.

Is there any value in second hand stamps? Asking for a friend.

More letter updates;
Mairead (apologies as I don’t know how to do a fada on an iPad) – no more excuses, learn to drive.
Jenny (10) and Ben (8) Galvin – Conor and Darragh both loved soccer and Gaelic Football. Carla’s favourite sport was Daddy Waking.

In fairness.

This is lovely and well done to everyone who took the time to write. I hope he finds solace in responding to people.
Some charitable organizations sell bags of used postage stamps to philatelic companies that sell them to stamp collectors. Stamps should normally be affixed to the original envelopes, with a few cms of paper around each stamp. Some British charities that accept donations of stamps:
Macmillan Cancer Support.
Oxfam.
Many Tears Animal Rescue.
Parkinson’s UK.
RNIB.
CRY (Care and Relief for the Young)
Saint Francis Hospice.
Are there any Irish charities doing something similar?
he’s a better man than I’ll ever be, I’d love to know what gets him through,
