      News once a day now.
Supplemented by the Sheet of course.

Feel incredibly lucky to still have my job.
Hope all posters who’ve had a rough few weeks are doing ok.

initially I was enjoying not working, no commute, bit of head space, now I miss the laughs with work colleagues in the office we affectionately knew as the pirate ship, plus I fractured my elbow…( not while running btw) halt to gallop, so I wouldn’t be able to work even if I wasn’t “temporarily” laid off, time just slowed way down

I’m enjoying watching all the Airbnb properties flood the market for sale, fupp them

We have homeless families in hotel rooms and tourists in apartments, only idiots would think that this is ok.

it’s not begrudgery, this activity completely skews the market, especially for rental, it turns cities into lifeless empty shells, pushes up rents, kills communities and is driven by greed,
that’s why France actually brought in strict laws concerning short term lets, it was decimating whole arrondissements and the local businesses in them

maybe I’ll be able to rebuy here after all instead of paying stupid rent in the arse of nowhere, you know an actual human who lives here and not a bunch of Americans waddling through

Now wouldn’t that be the mother of all ironies.

If a few old people die too bad was his words- except he is no spring chicken himself.
