As an anti-fascist shooting a fascist she was, of course, the real fascist.

    Legend. Deserved better.

I think labelling her as an ‘anti-fascist’ is an outrageous rewriting of history: she was a very troubled lady.

Ah it’s ok. You probably felt egged on by the picture caption (which, while fairly clever, is wildly historically inaccurate).

Pay attention Antifa, this is a real anti-fascist who fought a real fascist… as opposed to Antifa harassing elderly people crossing the street*.

*see last years Portland, USA incident for reference

This is a fantastic documentary. Listened to it a couple of years ago. She was treated horribly in the hospital. They didn’t send out letters she wrote and didn’t give her the letters she received, so she belived her family and friends had abandoned her.

She was confined because she tried to kill Musssolini, which at the time was a crazy thing to do. Then, after the war (when attitudes to Mussolini had changed), a doctor asked her why she was confined. When she told him it was for trying to kill Mussolini, he assumed she was delusional and that’s why she needed treatment!

*Edited to say: Sorry Joe, this wasn’t meant to be a reply to you.
