Strongly Disagree [Updated]

EARLIER:

From top: Claire Byrne; question allegedly put to members of the public as part of an Amárach Research survey for RTÉ’s Claire Byrne Live

This afternoon.

Sinn Féin TD Eoin Ó Bróin tweetz:

I am absolutely appalled by this question. Claire Byrne Live and RTÉ should withdraw this survey. Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael are actively excluding Sinn Féin from talks. Sinn Féin is doing everything we can to form a Government. Appalling bias here.

Meanwhile…

Anyone?

The first sentence is presented a fact. The second question is the one they then want answered. Shameful.
From Amarach’s website ‘…Amárach has worked with retailers, banks, telcos, transport companies and government agencies among others to understand the lived experiences of customers and to measure the….’

So enough of this clowning around, and enough of Concannon. FFG have loaded RTE with piles of cash, and have lined Amarach’s pockets too. They’re now lining Concannon’s pockets once again to produce this kind of propaganda for 5th count Varadkar

it’s not a statement of fact, else it’d be pointless to ask people if they agree or disagree with the statement

Hmmm…. Surveys…. Ever seen one before?!

      Perhaps you’d prefer this this statement;

      Sinn Fein are just feckin’ brilliant!!! Do you;

      Strongly agree…
      Or,
      Strongly agree…

Eoin, where have you been. What leadership have you shown. When the virus happened where were you? Go form a govt ffs. You won the election after all. And a whole comments like the Amárach are biased – you are the richest party in the country in the real Ireland, if not in the UK.

Just you wait A Person. You just watch. Somebody better hold Eoin and Sinn Féin back because, if ye don’t, they’re gonna go straight ahead and form a government. “Hold me back lads!” Any minute now Sinn Fein are gonna come out with a government and grab the reins, see us through this corona crisis. Any minute now. Everyone out of the way, here they come….forming a government…right now. Government of change of the left. Any minute now.

      1. GiggidyGoo

SF are waiting for the party who advertises themselves as ‘The Republican Party’ to come on board. The electorate voted for SF and FF to form a government, not FG and FF. That’s why FG came 3rd.
So over to FF to sh.. or get off the toilet. Then you’ll have SF in Government, which you all look forward to.

        1. A Person

explain how sfira won the election. Please? how can any “party” with less than 75% of the votes win an election. How can any party claim to win an election but do eff all to lead the country in a time if crisis, yet still claim the higher moral ground, I saw Harris in town today on the street. The poor guy looks effed. But he is actually doing something unlike you shinners bots – hide and run for the hills when a decision has to be made. No you can’t the Belfast 6 have said no.

          1. GiggidyGoo

Have you some problem in reading (maybe it’s understanding) what’s written before you?

        2. ReproBertie

“The electorate voted for SF and FF to form a government, not FG and FF”

When I said in the past that more people voted for a FG/FF government you had a go at me about that not being an option on the ballot paper. I don’t recall an option for “SF and FF to form a government.”

This part of the electorate voted for neither of them.

          1. GiggidyGoo

That’s the exact reason I posted it – glad you agree with me on the ‘people voted for a coalition of…’ line (which you initially brought up in the past) – kinda flushed you out there Repro.

          2. ReproBertie

You posted something you don’t agree with in the hopes of flushing me out (whatever that means)?

          3. GiggidyGoo

Well, Repro, I placed a short sentence in a post above that I knew you and a few others would latch onto, and you not even remembering that it was your good self who was telling us a few short weeks ago that the electorate voted for a FF FG government. When I say I flushed you out, I mean that it was easy to make you suddenly have a view now that is against the view you had a few weeks ago. All in the rush to have a go at someone you perceive as a shiner.

          4. ReproBertie

You completely mis-interpreted my post. I was pointing out your own duplicity, not changing my opinion on anything.

          5. ReproBertie

Deflection and misrepresentation. No surprises there.

It was never my opinion that people voted for a FFG coalition. It is a simple fact that more people voted for FFG combined than voted SF. Similarly, more people voted for SFF combined than voted for FG, or for SFG combined than FF. No one party received more votes than any of the other two combined so there is no one party with a clear mandate to govern, no matter how any particular party might like to present the results.

        3. Rosette of Sirius

The electorate voted for no such thing. If ‘the left’, led by Sinn Fein really, really wanted to form a Gvt., they would. But they won’t. They were all talk before and after the election – public meetings and all. Remember?! The minute C19 became too hot to handle, they scurried off to the corners of the internet and stayed schtum. Not a tweet from them as they hide in the long grass. Like snipers. They have form. Waiting. Tiocfaidh ár lá.

          1. GiggidyGoo

Odd though isn’t it that it takes FG weeks to implement Covid-19 strategies that SF suggested originally? That they have to take on a spin doctor again to try, well, spin.
SF have said they will go into an all-party government for the duration of this pandemic. FG and FF have been f-acting for weeks now trying to eke out a FFG coalition to try keep their grip on power.
Michilin (It was resting in my account) Martin said that FF would not go into government with FG. Well, sure, isn’t he great at telling the truth. The grassroots will looooove him.

          2. ReproBertie

“Odd though isn’t it that it takes FG weeks to implement Covid-19 strategies that SF suggested originally?”

Nothing in the least odd about taking advice from the NPHET instead of from a bunch of attention seeking politicians.

          3. A Person

What measures did the shinner bots suggest? Oh, none. as per usual. Surprisingly, and I am shocked, they made not one decision.

          4. ReproBertie

MLMcD was calling for the current lockdown while the NPHET were still content with the Containment phase of dealing with Coronavirus.

          5. ReproBertie

Not in the view of the NPHET and, since they are the experts, I’ll take their advice over that of a politician.

          6. GiggidyGoo

Looks like the experts are pretty slow – it takes the likes of Youghal to cancel St. Patrick’s Day parade, to get the ball rolling for instance. We haven’t leaders now – we have followers with spin doctors.

          7. ReproBertie

You may think they were pretty slow but then you’re not privy to their meetings and decision making process.

I’m not either but I’m happy to take my lead from them and let the experts make the decisions when they, with their expertise, feel the time is right.

        4. jamesjoist

          I know it’s been a while since the election but I don’t recall a SF/FF electoral pact .

    1. A Person

Name one measures the shinners suggested? Name one measure they tried to enact. Name on effing thing they did in the the last 4 weeks rather than run for the hills?

You don’t even have to leave this page for your answer. Bit much to ask I suppose though. But sure copy and paste to your hearts content.

”Fine Gael lost the election, they should not form part of the next government.”

Bloody anti-FG poll funded by Sinn Fein, grrrrr! ”…they should not form part of the next government.” is presented as a statement of fact, I’m so outraged, arghhhhh!!!!

    Or…polls be polling.

  4. Cathal

Wouldn’t worry about it FG/FF will implode after a few weeks of government. Martin has promised positions to some of the most incapable and promised crap he can’t deliver, Danny Healy Rae and Denis free dinner Naughten as a full minister!

  5. Noodle

I’ve worked in market research for many years.
I’ve also never voted SF (Labour voter at last election).
But that’s a shocking question. Paul in SF is right to be livid.
I suspect it’s simply an appalling question rather than one deliberately biased – very unprofessional to have allowed a question like that slip in.
But when one of the key Amarach people is a former senior person in FG it doesn’t look good at all.
    Very poor show from Amarach.

    Claire Byrne LiVE’s !!!

No mention of what happened to her co-anchor Lampy McLamp-face and the camera crew.. -Still no proof the shed was not actually an elitist hidden sauna complex for our VIP RTE mind-control overlords…

Seriously though, which filing cabinet and heading do we put this latest new corporate blunder/example of state and state broadcaster and media collusion for propaganda purposes.. under exactly…?
-The cabinets are bulging already and not enough of the voting public seem to remember anything a week later… they’d rather refute or deny it alltogether and keep voting for more. You’ve got to wonder why?…
