UPDATE:
So the magnificent @MaryLouMcDonald without fuss, fanfare or photo ops self-isolated with suspected Coronavirus, didn’t pull rank & demand she get results immediately, nor try to get 2 wks of breathless headlines while she lay terribly ill.
What class she has.— Claire Higgins (@ClarNiUigin) April 14, 2020
In fairness.
Should’ve taken up smoking… apparently….
” Official French data on #tobacco smoking & #covid19 replicate the picture in China, Germany & USA:
A remarkable low rate of smokers are hospitalised w/ coronavirus compared to smoking prevalence (France 23%). ”

Get well soon Mary Lou!
Hope you feeling better soon, Mary Lou.
From me, Pee Pee.
I wonder if anyone has done a statistical analysis of % celebrities and politicians with COVID vis a vis the general population?
I thought originally it was just we all had it and didn’t know it because the symptoms were mild but this doesn’t fit with the percentages of celebrities and politicians suffering complications.
Boris AND Mary-Lou? Something very strange here – spin or something more? And, if more, what could it be?
What could Sinn Fein and the Tory party possibly have in common? A very strange world, indeed.

That’s easy, they are both political parties, each equally capable of political bovine poo.
(that answer has nothing to do with either party leaders’ coronavirus diagnosis, and I wish full recovery for both… and all. )
I suspect the answer is a combination of
A) All mix together
B) disproportionately likely to travel internationally
C) Meet a disproportionate number of people in work
d) confirmation bias – the vast majority of people who have Covid are just regular people; they just don’t make the papers like when a well-known person contracts it
e) Nor do they get tested and have results returned quickly.
Although that would be incorrect according to comments below.
You have a funny definition of quick, given how long Mary Lou’s test took, Clampers.
They get the test done quicker than Joe Public.
Not Mary Lou it would seem.
Wasnt she waiting more than 2 weeks for a diagnosis.
Mary Lou had to wait sixteen days for her result. Hardly a member of the golden circle.
Was wondering why she’d gone so quiet. The entire Shinner party must have it too.
Best wishes Mary Lou-. get well soon.
Politics aside, I hope her and her family are all returning to normality and good health.
Get well.
But was it British or Irish COVID19?
Irish- Conor Murphy has the English strain apparently.
