      He’s saying it’s all a conspiracy, dav.

There’s a significant cohort on Broadhseet comments calling it all a conspiracy/hoax.
I find it disgusting. And it’s also jibberish. Utter jibberish.

Perfectly healthy people do not drop dead with the seasonal flu. There’s a cure for seasonal flu.
There’s a vaccine for seasonal flu. THOUSANDS more people are currently dying than normally die per day/week/month.
      Disgusting insulting jibberish.

To be fair your emotional response sounds like a conspiracy, there is numerous instances of healthy people dying from flu each year, check the literature, it’s there every year ,it’s responses like yours that adds fuel to conspiracy theories ,it’s black or white dialectic nonsense, we should be trying to help people to try reason instead of authoritive personas cracking down on differing views particularly when we look at the state of current statistics and information releases,it’s not fully known.

The problem is also what you define “perfectly healthy” ,many GP’s advise against excessive exercise like excessive running of marathons, some bizarrely construe this as healthy when it’s has never been accepted as so, the same applies to excessive iron mans.
Spend some time looking at the flu vaccine literature while your at it ,it hasn’t worked in some cases, in some it has ,many times with the elderly it hasn’t worked,no GP will argue this.

Please stop with the authoritarian type responses ,it doesn’t help, people are confused ,that’s what happens when leadership communication is poor, if we run patients out of our surgery with that attitude every time a question like that is asked what do you think would happen?

The seasonal flu vaccine is known to be hit-and-miss, yes. It’s less effective in some people. It’s less effective if you haven’t slept well etc. But it does exist. It didn’t work with an elderly member of my family. This is not secret information. And yet our medical professionals encourage us to take it every year. Because it is mostly effective.

Many treatments exist for the seasonal flu like Tamiflu, Xofluza, Relenza etc.

People with underlying health issues do die from it, even with these treatments. The OVERALL numbers of people dying over the past few weeks are far higher than average for the past few years.

Anne, I define “perfectly healthy” as my family member who was…perfectly healthy…did not engage in iron mans or extreme sport, but has died at middle age of this virus. Apologies if that makes me emotional.

Apologies if I come across as “authoritive” for saying that comparisons with seasonal flu are extremely inappropriate.

Apologies for not being in your ivory tower, basically.

Lads if their wrong on this will they just come out and say it,we took precautions ,it didn’t turn out as bad but this is what you do when you don’t know how dangerous something is,speak about the science of quarantine, ring fencing etc , they didn’t bother to act in at the start and still haven’t full implemented but at least the spiel might temper people a bit.

If they don’t it’s just going allow the conspiracy stuff to blow through the roof, maybe it has already, I think bill gates is the worst person possible to front this after his links to child sex trafficker Epstein, it seems we picked natural PR disasters to front it all over the world, gates manner even when talking is so bad, you’d think they would coach him in some way, even the tone of his voice.

Public institutions already have trust issues, shutting down professionals with issues around the statistics is going to be petrol on a fire especially as they look for blame when economic issues come to the fore, all the social media comments are pro government action and pro lockdown yet out and about people are the complete opposite and don’t trust them.

Whoever is advising Harris and Leo can swan off to the sun if chaos ensues,it will be us baring the brunt of protest disruption on top of an already slow economy.
Do they honestly think the narrative of lockdown stopping the numbers going higher will work when it’s put in to context when all the data is crunched?
