Haughey jnr may be correct about Lynch shafting his ould fella. But given that Chatlie didn’t have an honourable bone in his body…it doesn’t really matter.

Lynch and Haughey. The sheer gougery that party is built on would make you puke.

It all started when Dev stole the funds raised in the US to set up the Irish Press. FF are corruption. It’s their dna to steal, or stroke as they like to describe it.

True story. My dear old Dad was a ‘rocket scientist’. For real! He was was an aerospace engineer and worked in the UK in the late 50s and 60s developing missile guidance and so on.

Anyways. Later in the 60s he went to work for a French company involved in the development Concorde. They opened an Irish facility near Dublin airport in the very early 70s and the family relocated home from France. A couple of years later, the French company – in sheer disbelief at Haughey’s brazen extortion, shuttered the facility. He – in short – demanded kickbacks for planning and other IDA type supports as it was his constituency and he could make or break them.

Dear old Dad had evidence and went to an old friend of his who was a TD himself (in a different Party). TD was shocked – to see such evidence (as in he didn’t want to see it) – but not at all surprised. His advice to my dad was to destroy it. Less he be destroyed himself. Haughey was literally a gangster the implication was that my Dad would end up in a grave. He destroyed it.

So there you go. Names mostly withheld. He told me about this after Haughey died.

Ugh. Little Haughey, raised in a privileged environment on the back of ill gotten gains, attempts to whitewash image of gangster father. He has his da’s brass neck and lack of shame, that’s for sure.

How about a weekly series in which Haughey minor opines on a Charvet shirts, Ben Dunne, the McCracken & Moriarty Tribunals, Brian Lenihan’s liver transplant, Terry Keane, AIB debt write-offs, Inishvickallane, dodgy dealings in horses, Ansbacher accounts, Sean Doherty, phone tapping scandals et feckin’ cetera.

    That’d be worth a listen.

Already been done ad infinitum. Thanks VB.

Try a series about Denis O’Brien instead. What? No balls…?

Brit propaganda central. Such guff is appalling. The contempt for ordinary people – and anyone with more than two brain cells to rub together.

    Moronic people.

How were the photos in the Irish World stolen. Was their iCloud hacked? Surely they had backups.

    1. Jason

Theres the picture. The Irish World stole it and used it on it’s front page.
      Case closed, your welcome!

…talking about the Famine…the Choctaw nation made a donation to aid victims of the Irish Famine 173 years ago…today they have been ravaged by Covid-19 and need help…their Gofundme page is:

One, which shares a land border with another nation, is deeply integrated into intracontinental business and travel and the other is more than 1,700KM from the next nearest nation.

A country in western Europe having a higher rate of contagion than an island in the middle of the pacific ocean, fancy that.

        1. Formerly known as @ireland.com

Ireland could have done all the steps that NZ did. If Ireland moved before there were any deaths in Ireland, things would be a lot better. The border could have been closed if it needed to be. Essential traffic could have been allowed through. In Australia, some of the states closed their borders. This slowed the spread. OK, none of them have so many crossings but if you closed the main ones in Ireland, you reduce the traffic dramatically. Ideally, you get Arlene and Co. to align their policy with the rest of the island – I know it probably wouldn’t happen.

Do you realise that there are 14 nations closer to Ireland than Italy?
Do you realise that Milan is less than 1,600km from Dublin?

      1. SOQ

How? He made no comment, just posted the video.

Did Paddy not put his hand in his pocket and secure a load of PPE for nursing homes when the HSE had deemed them a low priority? If so he save a lot of lives and should be given at least some credit.
