Merc 280SL from late 60’s
When I was a kid I always wanted one of these. There is such a style that the older Mercedes have that I think they lost over time.
I am almost afraid to look to get anything like this now, after a very cutting comment from a niece a few years back when she mistakenly thought the car I was driving (to my 83 year old father’s wedding) as mine. It was my dad’s car. So ‘midlife crisis’ became ‘Oh, end of life crisis’

either 230sl, 250sl or 280sl in 050 white paint.
I have the 280SL version from 1969.
the weather is great and I have been driving mine roof off in the sunshine, just great, owned for forty one years.
