Maureen won’t like this…
…as long as it’s not Karen.
Noreen’s Fashion Fabrics at 7a Prussia Street registered in 1975. In more recent times its been a hair and beauty studio (Turning Heads) a newsagents (Take the Break) laundry (Sunbeams) and a pet shop (Fur R Feather).
The owner, a Timmy Murphy, has planning permission to convert the ground floor from commercial to residential. It’ll be a downstairs apartment.
Before Noreen’s, it was a panel beating shop (closed 1970) and then Premier Carpets. The house seems to date from the mid-1880s. It was up for sale in 1905 and again in 1921. Yes, I have too much time on my hands today.
Excellent work, Joe, thank you.

I love the way that crumbling brickwork + foam filler are keeping the RSJ afloat

Lovely.
Though, on an unrelated note, it’s mental that the buildings are so tiny barely a mile from O’Connell Street.
