Tolkien Taoiseach

at

Earlier this evening.

Further to Taoiseach Leo Varadkar quoting The Terminator when he announced further movement restrictions on March 27…

He ended his address to the nation with a quote from Lord of the Rings:

“In the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come and when the sun shines, it’ll shine out all the clearer.”

Ah here.

A narcissistic, misogynistic, egoistical career politician such as Varadkar will never see the irony in plagiarising the inherent understanding of nature and all its creations as captured by a literary and sensitive genius such as Tolkien.

Narcissists feed off others in a multitude of ways; due to their sociopathic nature, they can act sympathetically but cannot empathise. Emotionally they’re bullet-proof – until it involves their vanity and power, then it’s a different story.

Leo reads quote from Tolkien, written for him by Kenny’s spin doctor. What it, and other examples of plagiarism in his speeches shows is the absence of the ability to think for himself. Kenny was the same. Both have questionable mental capacity.

Who is thee spin Doctor in question, Gigiddy?
Seen as we’re paying his/her salary aren’t we entitled to know?

So much hate from the Shinners

Remember a vote for SF/IRA is a vote for murder.

There’s something about Mary…..anyone seen Derek- no column this week?

“Willie O’Dea apologised unreservedly to Mr. Quinlivan for the harm done to his reputation and accepted that Mr. Quinlivan is a person of exemplary character.

The Minister withdrew the misleading allegations made by him in his Affidavit to the High Court.

The settlement sees Willie O’Dea paying damages to Maurice Quinlivan and discharges Mr. Quinlivan’s legal costs.”

Did Gerry Adams ever get paid by any of the newspapers that published claims that he was in the IRA?

Terminator, Dua Lipa and now Tolkien. It’s amazing the things that people get worked up about.

People of Ireland, as your Taoiseach, I will continue to lead you through these difficult times
    In my imagination
    There is no hesitation
We walk together hand in hand

    next up:

I believe the children are our are future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children’s laughter remind us how we used to be
    Everybody searching for a hero
People need someone to look up to
I never found anyone who fulfill my needs
    A lonely place to be
And so I learned to depend on me

I’m no Leo fan, but I don’t see the problem with ending a speech with a quote? Pretty sure things like that are introduced in the most basic public speaking classes.

    1. GiggidyGoo

People in his position should be able to construct original quotes that students in public speaking classes could use during those classes. The inability to come up with pertinent original thoughts and quotes tells its own story.

“original quotes” haha oxymoron 1st prize! I assume you would not give those students any stick for using quotes until they became famous or leaders – then all quotes are off eh?
