This morning.
Further to the discovery in early April of partial human remains – believed to be those of someone aged between five and 20 years old – by workers clearing common ground at Lissenfield, Lower Rathmines Road, Dublin 6….
…A Garda Press spokeswoman said:
“The remains have now been positively identified. Gardaí are continuing in attempts to contact family members. No further information is available at this time.”
More as we get it.

This is sad to hear. However, if they have positively identified the remains, I hope it gives some form of closure to a bereaved family.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam
A positive ID at least provides some answers for a family out there
Not that it makes their loss any more bearable
RIP
and my sympathies to the family who have had their bereavement reopened again today

I know Lissenfield, that area is immediately opposite a row of duplexes and before the clearing was filled with very dense trees/vegetation. The Mulcahy family lived at Lissenfield from 1920s-1980s, before that it housed the Commandant of the nearby barracks. Hard to imagine anyone depositing a body there after Lissenfield was built – they would be in full view of the duplexes directly across.
