I despise that man so much that it makes me wonder how I could take such a disliking to a person I’ve never met *shakes first violently *

Please tell Micheál that plan A is not exactly rating too high on the old magicometer either as we enter the realm of magic.
If there is only one solution to the problem you haven’t been brainstorming half hard enough.

I may be way off here, but the trick to planning when we are talking about people in a Profession, is that you plan for more than one outcome.
Honestly, why are Irish politicians paid so much? They are terrible professionals. Reduce their pay until they succeed at improving something for everyday Irish people. Start with Housing and Healthcare

Would you be able to define how you would measure “improving something” in Healthcare?

The HSE is a behemoth. It has a budget of €20+bn; 100,000+ staff. It does some excellent stuff, some good stuff, some mediocre stuff, and some bad stuff. It does some things very efficiently, others very inefficiently. Yes, is should strive to move everything to being efficient/excellent.

Usually all hear about is the bad stuff/inefficient stuff. If something was bad and improves it falls of the (media) radar and is never mentioned again. So there is a perception that the whole thing is falling apart.

  3. Truth in the News

This was a disastrous interview by resurrected politician who presided over a
mess that led to melt down in the Irish economy in 2008 and with his friend
Ryan now want to seize the rains of power again 9 years later, they don’t have
a Plan A never mind a Plan B ……what we had to day was more verbal dithering
from a perfectionist at it and nothing else.
