      Four more years.
If Her Majesty the Queen reigns for 4 more years, she will overtake Louis XIV as the longest-reigning monarch of all time.
Go on girl, you can do it.
      Just to spite the French.

    Cool,creamy pints once again.
And my Sweeney Todd gave me an early afternoon appointment.
    Normal service has resumed.
It’s not a bad old country when all things are considered.

Far better than to be living in the land where the cannibal rats are on the rise.. that’s for sure..

I’m so full to the cap badge tonight pal I wouldn’t really care where I lived at the moment.
        Even France, God forbid.

Over 1.40 to the euro when Brexit referendum bill voted through Commons 5 years ago. Less than 1.10 today. Good times old boy, what?

I wouldn’t go far in France either.
It’s full of miserable French people.
            And no-go migrant ghettos.
            And no decent pubs.
Even their much-vaunted cuisine is ropey old chicken and chips most of the time.
The legend that is Micky Flanagan got it spot on.

much as I enjoy Mickey he’s a man of the popular touch so I can imagine his vision of France is probably some dodgy bistro in Le Havre which has been polluted by British comings and goings forever…

All-Ireland Day in December? The Tyrone GAA Council are in talks with Croke Park to hold the first round of The Ulster Football Championship between Tyrone (Come on Tyrone – you’re not on your own, etc…) and Donegal at HQ. It seems that the usual loyal following of both counties – a match like this would easily fill Ballybofey – 20ish thousand. Croke Park, it seems can accommodate 21 thousand fans – socially distanced. St. Tiarnach’s Park,Clones has already been ruled out of the running for the Ulster Final – insufficient floodlights for a November final. It’s got to be a similar problem in every province. Croke Park is going to be under a lot of pressure.

December? Middle of flu season? Don’t worry, there’ll be more important issues at play for people by then.

Well the players won’t be wearing masks, and i wonder when the first case of another player coughing in the faces of his opponents to gain advantage will occur.

Before backdoors, trapdoors, play-offs and round robins, when we used to have a proper Championship, the straight knockout days, the League was always well underway by October

And Provincial Club Finals all but done by Christmas Week

So playing up to Christmas and New Years is nothing new, in fact the infamous Aherlow Junior B u-21 County win (well remembered by plenty of us) was on New Years Day

Ye’ll just have to get used to floodlights, and Shayna I don’t think anyone would mind ye borrowing Croke Park’s,
Meanwhile the Soccer & Rugbee crowd will have just to get over it

      Hon Cork.
      Nathin’s won yet lads

“OECD: Do not worry about debt during crisis”

The reassuring message for the new coalition comes from Ben Westmore, who heads up the Ireland desk at the Organisation for Economic and Co-operation and Development. However, in an interview with the Irish Examiner, the senior economist said it was “slightly” more concerned about the prospects for Irish employment after fewer than expected people migrated from the pandemic unemployment payments onto the wage-subsidy scheme or back into regular employment, even as the restrictions lifted in recent weeks.

there’s nothing like an ‘oul reassuring message, isn’t there?

I wouldn’t have expected a big move back until the crèches/childminders are open
