if that’s the aliens I’d steal the ship keys and get the hell outta there
Its our alien overlords checking to see if we’re all dead yet.
Replacing panels on the dome is all.
haha
Was Mr.Bean at the base of it?
Zuul!
I’d guess these were taken by a phone.
It looks like the result of the way the camera takes a picture – there isn’t a shutter like on a traditional camera which takes the whole picture at once – rather It takes the picture line by line. The lightening happened mid picture and (temporarily) changed the contrast.
*it’s called “rolling shutter artefact” if anyone is interested
I never knew that. Good to know! Thanks
Interesting! I wonder did the posters witness this only through a camera or directly with their own eye?
If the former, I would suggest it might be too bright and is overloading the receptors in the camera. They are based on MOS (metal oxide semiconductors) and they can be overloaded, though I have not noted this for bright lights in more modern devices.
If directly witnessed, I would suggest then it has something to do with the charged atmosphere. Carbon dioxide glows white under supercharged conditions (these are the white ‘neon’ signs’, and it is likely that above cities the CO2 levels would be quite high. Under a thundercloud the atmosphere would be very charged, so my thought is that the column of atmosphere where the blt hits, and the width of the travel of the bolt is being supercharged and emitting the glow.
Still, it is incredible :-)
Edit: Just saw Cian’s post – this is also a possibility. I had not considered it. Thanks, Cian.
rolling shutter on the camera…
Or its God shining a light down that is only visible to cameras. Does this mean the camera is getting saved in the rapture and not the person holding it, because they didnt see it with their own God given eyes.
Praise be to the iphone camera, we are not worthy.
The replies to Heather Childers’ post are something else. Almost all Q related (as in QAnon, I presume?) and its gets quite weird.
Could it be Q from Star Trek? I am not on Twitter so I cannot see the replies.
That was my first thought, but no, definitely not when you read through them.
Some examples:
“Q sent me! #Biblical indeed! Nothing can stop God’s Light from shining out the Darkness.
#NothingCanStopWhatIsComing
Nothing!”
“Q sent me! #wwg1wga #WWG1WGAWORLDWIDE #QANON #QANONWORLDWIDE Follow me Patriots as we track #TheGreatAwakening”
“Q sent me! / I am the light / I am the dark inside the night / I hear your hopes / I feel your dreams / And in the dark / I hear your screams / Don’t turn away / Just take my hand / And when you make / your final stand / I’ll be right there / I’ll never leave / All I ask of you is / Believe~GOD”
And much more of that sort of thing.By the way (and I had to look it up), QAnon believers commonly tag their social media posts with the hashtag #WWG1WGA, signifying the motto “Where We Go One, We Go All”
haha that reminds me, some wit sent me this evangelist prayer to help sort out my dreams of food
Every demonic caterer in my dream, receive the fire of God and die, in the name of Jesus. 2. You demonic caterer in my dream, eat your evil food, in the name of Jesus
Most of that nonsense is bots. One of the interesting things about Parler is that it requires two step authentication which will make the whole bot thing a lot more difficult.

you don’t think you owe Janet an apology for your astounding rudeness soq?
already done.
There should be a bloody breathalyzer on this keyboard.
we have all been there, get some eggs and juice into you
Actually I don’t get hangovers with GIn- I think a lot of people are the same. It’s one of the reasons it is so popular these days.
Q from Star Trek made more sense.
