Behold: the Tarform Luna – arguably the most sustainable all electric motorbike ever built.

The bodywork – composed of recycled aluminium and a flax seed weave-reinforced composite  – is partly biodegradable and designed in modular format to upgrade as EV technology evolves.

Capable of 0-100km/h in under 4 seconds, a top speed of 150km/h and a 200km range with a 41kW lithium-ion battery charging to 80% in just 50 minutes, the bike has keyless proximity ignition, blindspot detection with haptic feedback, 180° rearview cameras and integrated ‘faux sound’ generators.

Yours next year for around €21,300 (+ shipping).

Great to see the rapid improvements in power and range of battery vehicles . The mention of flaxseed weave compounds made me smile , there’s something old school hippy about it .

I’d like to see them change the intake shape though, it’s always the angular, square look.

I knew a bloke who had one of these; absolute rubbish it was. It ended up breaking down beside IKEA in ballymun. He went off to get help and as soon as his back was turned some scrotes had thrown it off the m50 flyover.
    Never again.

I had one of those too, just after I gave up the long-distance truck driving because of me back. Complete rubbish. Parked it on Camden Street and some bowsie scratched “Bono is a pox” on the fuel tank. Morto. Sold it on Done Deal and use Dublin Bikes now instead. Never looked back.

Here Scottser stop robbing Matt Pilates gags. Poor form unless you are both the same person!
