Without wanting to appear biased, those black eyes don’t look real. Would you not expect more colour for bruising, purples and yellows, never just black?
Steph Pinker
It’s the lack of swelling which is more evident – any impact to the face and the sensitive area around the eyes will immediately swell and change colour whether it’s as a result of an insect bite to the face or a ‘collision’. She’s no innocent either by all accounts. Obviously they liked each other a lot and were attracted to each other, but they’re clearly not good for each other; leaving the drugs and drink abuse aside, apparently they used to secretly tape each other, take photos and then carry on as normal.
Whatever it is, it isn’t love and there’s a pair of them in it.

It’s news in The North (of Ireland) – widely reported about The 12th July (Celebrations/Parades/Marches… etc) being cancelled in the same way that March 17th was cancelled (World-wide). Despite the pandemic, social distancing guidelines – loyalist flags have been erected atop street lamp-posts, which are generally @ 3.5M- 4M high – a two/three person job – completely illegal. The building of bonfires/pyres in Loyalist areas – completely illegal. I live in South Belfast – Lisburn Road – I had a joiner booked to fit my new composite front door, which I’ve been waiting for 6 months. He even turned up yesterday – Thursday to check that the whole thing would fit – I said, see you amarach. A couple of hours later, he phoned me to say – sorry, he’d been pulled off my job, all joiners for his company were instructed to report to Loyalist areas to board up windows to protect them from pyres? I suggested to him, he said – don’t even get me started.
I’ve been so looking forward to my new front door. Maybe next week?

Sorry about the witter – I just noticed that my tv sensed my witterings and went to stand-by. The drink-driving thing – so what? It’s the nastiest snake that grasses toward the tree. (Jeep safari in Cyprus knowledge).

While the building of bonfires is even more regrettable this year than in other years, presumably they saw that “the other side” were allowed to have thousands of people making a show of force at a funeral and decided “they aren’t being made abide by any restrictions, why should we?”
scottser
rob, whether bobby storey’s funeral went ahead or not, you can be guaranteed that the 12th celebrations were going to happen. why do you think stormont quietly buried the rule on gatherings without debate? in a weird way i’m glad they agree on something, even if the outcome puts everyone at risk of a covid spike.
Shayna
“Thousands”? – perhaps, 100ish at that particular funeral. My point was that construction resources have been deployed to protect homes from entirely illegal bonfires. Belfast City council workers refuse to attend and deal with this, through fear for their personal safety – it’s left to contractors (the majority being from “my side”, as you put it). Setting fire to unsafe 100 Ft bonfires, with Irish tri-colours atop, endangering people and properties, and having emergency services on stand-by – to commemorate a date that most people have no idea about – it’s a tad ridiculous. Also, Shayna’s new front door won’t be fitted today.

No, the spreading of the virus is not good. They got it because they aren’t careful and you can’t tell who is vulnerable by looking at them. 78% of 16-30 years old live with their parents. How are they going to be careful when sharing the same living space?
Also it does kill people under 25. At least two have died in Ireland and for plenty of people it is not mild.
