Our skyline is genuinely pathetic – this could be a small regional city in Spain or something.
Absolute whiffle, Dublin’s skyline is no more pathetic than Copenhagan or Helsinki or many other Northern European petite capitals.
Granted we really could do with some taller buildings.
Both of those cities are half the size of Dublin, so actually goes some way to illustrate my point.
Wow, beautiful photo, lovely colours.
Love it, great pic :)
From the title, I expeted the Beckett bridge to be raised…which must be a rare occurance?
Very rare, considering it rotates rather than lifts ;)
It actually pivots, it doesn’t rise.
I’ve seen it once in about 5 years of working nearby.
Ah yes, now that you mention it.
lovely photo,
but it’s mostly packed with empty offices, empty attractions and pubs who’s sole market is tourists, chain coffee shops and fast-food outlets, empty Airbnb apartments
True the developed IFSC / North Wall area is spooky ghost town once the office workers head home. Its has much community spirit as an industrial estate.
HEY! our city is not about people, it’s about tax breaks for the super rich. so mind your tongue young lady or i’ll start calling you a fascist.
look I said I was sorry about the boots
Nice photo. Can it really be considered a small city?
it’s a village ;)
18 years gone you walk down Grafton St. and it’s “hey Big J “!
Gorgeous photo. With that river, so far from a ‘small regional city’ it is laughable.
It’s a great picture but to me its of the dock lands so it’s part of the city but not ‘the city’
Nice plume from the incinerator. Sets off the view.
Dublin is a kip.
