Too much U2?

Not enough U2?

We may never know.

Sad. Only ever saw it in WH Smiths in Victoria Station lately; but enjoyed it in earlier years.

Mind you, NOTHING beat Smash Hits.

I still miss The Word magazine. I’d say there’ll be lots more too, hopefully WSC survives.

They used to give great free CDs. Discovered Eels and Teenage Fanclub thanks to Q.

    Great headline

I’d say you guys are awesome to go out for a pint with (socially distanced and a restaurant serving a €9 meal)

Punning away to each other like good things to beat the band

        Foggy Notions was just lovely.

Great free CD, printed on luxuriously smooth and strokable paper and great interviews and features.

        Sigh!

Wonderful magazine for a few early, mid 90s years and then they stuck The Corrs on the cover. It got worse, a lot worse. The 100th edition was a musical bible then by the 200th it was a spent force. Only commerce no culture and a bit of an embarrassment after the glory years even though music mag choice was still in the single digits. A fitting final cover. A bit like the way Q burst their own bubble, Mr Morphoid; plasticined, airbrushed, commercialised and ready to squeeze out the final pitiful shekal. Boh-Noooooo.

As mentioned above, good from 98-01 ish. The Bono front cover shows that they can’t even die gracefully. Good riddance.
