Behold: the 1964 Ferrari 500 Superfast Coupe – one of the rarest Ferraris.

Featuring Pininfarina bodywork and a plush leather interior, just 36 of these flagship five-litre V12s were ever made. This car was sold new to the industrialist James Hanson and has changed hands several times since, but still only has a trifling 19,300km on the clock.

Currently accepting bids, probably north of €2.25 million.

I recall seeing one of these broken down just off the walkinstown roundabout a while ago and what looked like a very annoyed Glenda Gilson kicking the side of it. Maybe someone here knows something about it?

The “name that jammer” munchkins must be raging that you never bothered to ask them.

I dunno. When the grill reaches out past the lights I always consider them a little bit buck toothed

Had TWO of those. Rubbish X 2. For the driving job. Hardest game in the world, chauffeuring; little peaked cap and “Ronan Keating” crayoned on a bit of paper at the airport. Had a gig to get that Glenda Gilson from Smyths in Ranelagh to the Xposé recording at TV3. Steering wheel came off in my hands at a roundabout in Walkinstown, clipped a Just Eat bike; the Ferrari recoverability from a spin was only woegious, turned over and burned. Went home to get the backup. EXACTLY the same thing happened; but this time at a roundabout in Rialto. No Xposé that day. Bought a rickshaw off a Brazilian lad outside Coppers with a trainee Garda from Harcourt Street thrown in for free. Never looked back.
