This afternoon.

Leinster House, Dublin 2.

Sinn Féin spokesperson on Housing Eoin Ó Broin launching his party’s bill to ban co-living.

The bill aims for people  to be able to secure good quality studio apartment of 45 square metres for €900 a month.

“Co – Living” apart from making it impossible to enact social – distancing during a pandemic, its time these vulture funded new tenement dumps were banned all together. If the Green(wash) party votes against the bill they should just re brand as FG on bikes to make it easier for voters to chuck them out of government a.s.a.p.

I expect the developers friends FFG to vote against the bill, it should be hilarious to hear MeHole’s Martin’s boss Varadkar defend the tenement “co-living” arrangements

Posh Boy Ó Broin talking rubbish.
All the bill will do is remove 2 guidelines… which leave what? no guidelines. So anything goes.

Nothing in this bill will help create a single 45 sq m studio apartment.

Typical SF – all smoke and mirrors.

Hasn’t the same ring about it as The Boy Murphy or The Boy Harris Cian.

Of course, FGers would like to have the sizes at 16.5 SqM. A third of the size basically of what SF are proposing. Pile ‘em high.

What’s the logic in launching a bill just after the Dáil goes into recess? Is it just to maximise publicity?
