how else do you expect Simon to pick up a litre of milk?

just as a matter of public interest. get Ken Foxe on the case?

Groan, is this now going to incite the recently converted baying Shinnerbot mob to pile in squealing how rotten Simon is, in the same way as they did for Leo V yesterday for the crime of trying on a pair of shoes in a business whose sales dropped 90% over the last few months?

I notice Simple Simon never ran a ‘don’t kill granny’ campaign here- he done a good job of that himself.

Of course the €2500 / 6 months thing has mehole stamped all over it- he done the same thing with the smoking ban.

And this is exactly why the difference between Face Covering v Mask is crucial

But Judge I pulled my bra up to cover my nose and mouth

      Just like this
Defendant gives demonstration of a double GG cup being moved from its usual mooring ….•́ ‿ ,•̀

Rather than write specific legislation for this bill, they tied it to a standard offence fine/sentence.

Was in the local Tescos last night plenty without masks. They had to walk past security to enter store. If it needs policing that’s where it should be. Not inside the store.

So my question would be if a person is in around a supermarket and somehow manages to get fined, should the store not be fined also for allowing a person enter the store unmasked?

    1. SOQ

I would think the store would have to call the guards but if half the place is milling around barefaced then that is unlikely.

That’s my new word so- barefaced- the cheek of it.

So, when he was minister for health, did the bould Simon do anything for those in Nursing Homes when he was asked politely to do so?
Let’s see how he handles the return to higher education.

From Ivor Cummins @FatEmperor in response to Simple Simon.

    #LogicMatters

DURING the #epidemic, shop workers all over world exposed to all 8hrs a day with no masks: no significant excess infection/mortality

NOW the epidemic is over, we have #Casedemic – ICU/deaths banished

BUT the workers NOW want us all in masks??

      ROFL. Bonkers.

Still waiting for your evidence that 1 million! people attended the recent anti-Covid 19 restrictions march in Berlin.

Shop workers tend to be younger and younger people are more likely to be asymptomatic when infected, so he may not be wrong, but it’s hard to get a full picture from what he’s saying.

          1. Just Sayin

What he’s saying is that if you look at the science/maths you should realise that what the government is saying/doing is totally wrong.

The supermarket workers issue is a blatant example but there’s a lot more evidence on his twitter/youtube.

The most comprehensive overview of the facts as backed by science that I’ve fouud is from a letter by David Capital Partners in the US

    2. Junkface

No facts to back this up.

In the UK there were many bus drivers and Tube system employees who died during the crisis due to not having masks or PPE supplied. Same goes for New York

      1. SOQ

I have seen no figures on those occupations- do you have a source? Tnx.

But even if correct- why now and not then?

        1. SOQ

That Stacey Rudin piece is on the mark. If governments had said that sacrificing your dog or cat in the front garden would save you- some people would have actually done it.

    3. Micko

Pretty sure that masks are just a convincer to get people out shopping again in actual shops.

Too much Irish money going to ol’ Jeff Bezos.
