On a similar theme, we brought Blenkinsop Jr. over to Thomas street on Saturday for his Communion suit.
(little 3 piece Glen check, since you ask)

On our way back to the car we passed Alan Brogan walking along Francis Street.

    “Howayeh Alan”, says I.

“Alright, how’s it going”, he said nice and friendly.

All weekend then Lady Bertie got great skit out of saying “Howayeh Alan. Friend. Football Friend”.

Be a while before I live it down….

LOL! Got mine in Anthony Ryan’s Shop Street, Galway… Just passed the row of Dingo jeans at the top of stairs.

Got an earful from me Mum only three weeks later having worn my outfit one Sunday on a trip to my Uncle Jack’s farm just off the Tuam Rd… I’d gone missing… Later returned that evening having chased a lambing sheep round a field and assisted my cousin in delivering the wee thing.

Needless to say… the suit was covered in muck, lambing birth and sheep poo. Some craic though :)

They were all the rage in 1998/1999. I know because I had one – Suede torso, knitted collar and sleeves – It kept me warm on many a winter night out and about, I can tell you.
