I could only get the last copy of The Examiner today in 3rd shop I checked this afternoon.
Papers likely to do very well tomorrow.
Sunday World with some scoop if true.

Also, twitter full of ’embargoed’ story that Dail to be recalled.

This is just a shambles of epic proportions.

    1. Rob_G

FFS – there are loads of golf courses in Belgium, could he have not just gone to one of those?

As he is not up for reelection/reappointment any time soon, I expect that he will just brazen it out.

          1. SOQ

All of this carry on is doing more to end the lock down and mask nonsense than anything else.

That these people- including some who are making the rules- clearly do not believe what they are preaching, should be a wake up call to all.

So the obvious question is- if they do not believe it then why are they insisting on it? Who is really calling the shots?

People’s lives are being ruined because of this madness.

          2. Brother Barnabas

what’s your own thought or suspicion on that, soq?

(why are they doing it if its patent nonsense ?)

          3. SOQ

I honestly don’t know Brother and there is no point in speculating but this erosion of civil liberties should be ringing alarm bells all over the place.

Apparently there was no social distancing nor anything else at that event- it is like an in-house joke.

          4. SOQ

Possibility deflection but probably ass covering. Once they admit to even a minor error of judgement, the whole bluff is likely to unravel- which it will, it is only a matter of time.

Either way, as I said, it is quite obvious that the good and the great do not believe it either.

  2. Tommy Bohan

The “Irish” Mail on Sunday still incapable of putting an Irish picture on its front page. If it’s not some British Royal (Megan, Harry, Kate, etc.), it’s an English footballer!! Crazy editorial decision. The July monthly sales were out last Thursday, they’re now selling under 50,000 in the Republic. Take out (at least 5,000) British ex pats living here and you get to a figure barely over 40,000. The Irish paper buying public are not complete fools it seems!

    1. Paul

I hate that paper too but UK soccer is followed by a lot of people here… much to the disgust of my secondary school Irish teacher who reminded us that we should be following GAA only. Maybe he was right…

    2. Chuckenstein

The Irish DM is and never was Irish. it was never hidden no more than any other ‘Irish’ British tabloid

  3. Chuckenstein

Split the front page of the Telegraph and it sums up Boris perfectly. Sound-good bluster…but doesn’t really care.

    1. SOQ

I am sure we can both agree that Hogan would hardly be the most community minded person in the world gigs but- he would also be the sort to place great value on his own personal health.

That he is zipping around without a care in the world surely makes you wonder what he knows that the rest of us don’t?

      1. realPolithicks

It sounds like you’ve made the leap (which was probably inevitable in your case) from anti-masker to covid denier, which begs the question. What exactly do you think is going on here soq?

        1. SOQ

By CoVid denier you mean that I don’t believe it exists? Of course it does but or at least it did but apart from a test which was never meant to identify live viruses being used as a ‘Case’ count- there is no evidence that it is circulation at this point in the season.

Nobody is going into hospital and nobody is going into ICU and that pattern is being replicated all across Europe in places way ahead of Ireland- and probably beyond.

IMO it left a couple of months ago and the likes of Hogan know it- why else would he be behaving like that?

  4. Brendan Montgomery

Mail on Sunday is a good read. The Harry Maguire pic takes up only approx. 1/9 of the front page ( the rest is Irish stuff ) and his shenanigans on hols is sure more interesting than Phil Hogan brazening it out as an EU Comissioner very few of us are bothered to know anything about
(P.S. and there was I thinking too that Senator Donie had long ago driven off into the sunset in his merc with the Firehouse Five)

    1. Tommy Bohan

You haven’t addressed my point, i.e. why does a so called Irish paper insist on using British pictures for its front page. Do you really want endless images of Megan Markle, Prince Harry, etc on the front of Irish papers? They even had Boris Johnson with his new child one Sunday! It clearly smacks of not having to pay/support some Irish photographers. Before you say how do I know it, I don’t buy it any more but read it in friends/relations houses, a huge amount of their articles are just copies of the UK Mail on Sunday. Same goes for Irish Daily Mail. The amount of Irish material is way less than, for example, Sunday Independent, Business Post and Sunday World. The sales figures don’t lie, they were selling about 120,000 copies not that long ago, now < 50,000. The IDM sold over 50,000 – now barely over 20,000. All papers are declining, theirs at much faster pace. I can clearly see why!!

      1. topsy

The Mail is a rag, it’s as simple as that. The sooner it disappears from the newsstands the better.

In the real world here in Kildare my weekend is going rather nicely. Friday took a saunter up to Ely for a bite and a good bottle of wine. The weather cleared up so was able to sit out without being blown away. Yesterday, I needed a new pair of running shoes so a spin over to The ASICS store in Kildare Village was in order. Mission accomplished.

Apparently there’s a permanent Garda checkpoint on that junction of the N7 as folks can’t control their urges for a bargain.
Heading out now to start to break in my new running shoes and later, managed to get a booking out at Lyons for the stunning Aimsir’s Every Cloud outdoor venture. Lobster rolls or lamb kebab?! Decisions…

Masks were and will be worn. Except when I’m eating in a socially distant manner. Life continues.

    1. Janet, dreams of big guns

Lyons the prettiest ” village ” in Kildare and a glimpse of how Ireland might have looked if we cared for our venacular architect

    2. Rosette of Sirius

Actually, will head to Oughterard and have an amble around the round tower and visit Arthur’s grave. I do like the canal path at Lyons all the same. Quite fond of Two Cooks in Sallins also… Take away only tho.

    1. goldenbrown

flour usually has a fairly short best before date, until the mites show up

I can imagine all the black sacks full of them off to the landfill in 2022

          Just a Frilly thing

Thick chubby pale skinned arms with matted thick black hair
Even the wires on the knuckles
          Like bristles on ham

          Sorry – instant gag

I call them bumble Bee arms s’all

          1. Brother Barnabas

well I’m fairly clean, frillz – just so tou know

I might be down brittas direction one of these days

we may meet among the dunes

..is the absentee landlord granting his serfs an inspection and visit-are you staying on site Bro?

          1. Brother Barnabas

genuinely no clue what you’re attempting to get at, johnny

            so subtle it’s stupid perhaps?

  6. Clampers Outside

From Australia regarding COVID19 outbreaks in hotels.

    This is jaw droppingly stupid…

“An authorised officer put in charge of hotel quarantine operations in Melbourne says he completed equity & diversity training, but was offered no formal instructions on infection control or how to use PPE. An outbreak ensued.”

Read that again… An authorised quarantine officer had ‘equity and diversity’ training prioritised, and wasn’t given any training on infection control.

This type of stupid nonsense of prioritising diversity training over what are necessaries was predicted.

Short video from the inquiry in link.

    https://t.co/ajPmwYNzuD

    1. V aka Frilly Keane

Maybe the training was already booked by HR and rostered into the organisation’s training diary Or whatever staff roster, in- house training policies they have going on day to day there

Before there was even a murmur of a Pandemic
Staff induction, Health & Safety, Fire Drills, Management Systems updates, Company Communications, Privacy & GDPR policies, whatever you’re having yourself
are all organised and planned months even a year or more in advance

I get course schedules in advance all the time
Wouldn’t be surprised now by early November to get the diary of training and conference events for 2021
And from more than one organisation
Just like I did for 2020 – look what happened, maybe I should have done how to Zoom instead of legislative updates last January
Gone to the Secredi conference ( Brazil) last February instead of opting for the World Council ( LA ) for July

Not everything is as Jaw droppingly stupid as you are determined to think

Large organisations book and organise this kinda stuff years in advance

      Just lke a hotel wedding

Stop reading to much into it
There’s enough of that bulls motion here as it is

      1. Clampers Outside

That’s a massive maybe at the beginning.
He wouldn’t have had ANY training for a position not yet even k own to be required.

might know more tomorrow, I will if I think it’s 100%

meanwhile the other thing I’ve been up to is parsing that list of table settings to see who does what….making a spreadsheet
in the absence of the FULL list of attendees which is also amiss at mo
but I got curious how the narrative is a bit “it’s all Fianna Fails fault”….polls etc.
because when I look at that table seating my reading of the thing is there’s as much FG on it as FF either directly or by proxy
I have a few holes, I suspect some misspellings dunno, you might know who they are
also wtf is the Moroccan Ambassador doing there? Beef?

          2. V aka Frilly Keane

            Oh brilliant

Just so you know that Hayes’ no 2 there in the Bankers Fed is an FFer
( Recent failed candidate too btw)
I’m fully expecting her name to appear somewhere
Even as a player not just as a +1
A very familiar face on the ‘Golf Classic/ Fundraiser’ scene

Lahcen Mahraoui is also an active participant in the Irish Arab Chamber of Commence so he could have been wearing a few lobbying hats and repping investors – like say from Private Equity Funds

    2. Formerly Known As @ireland.com

Clampers..I am here in lockdown Melbourne. It is a disaster. Unfortunately, it looks like some private security firms got the it to do security because of connections, not on merit. Those contractors sub-contracted, etc. So, the cheapest workers were doing the most important job in the country. They were poorly trained. The right wing federal government employment laws mean that gig economy workers don’t get sick leave. So, when they get sick, or test positive, they still go to work. So, the virus spread. Now, we have curfew at 8pm, 1 hr exercise, within 5kms of home, 1 shopping trip for essentials per day, masks worn when you leave your home. The second wave can happen so easily. No time to be complacent. The Aussie governments are not in cahoots with Hogan et al.

    3. Daisy Chainsaw

How ignorant do you have to be to sent on diversity training? How difficult is it to not be a raging bumhole to people who aren’t you?

      1. Clampers Outside

        Way to miss the point.

He should’ve had safety training. He didn’t.
The diversity stuff should be way down the priority when health care IS the priority.

        1. bisted

…that’s what I heard from my Melbourne contact…minimum wage people rounded up for these jobs…not a single health professional employed…they spread the virus instead of containing it…

  7. GiggidyGoo

So Total Recall – The Musical kicks off soon in the Convention Centre. I wonder what the song list and who the performers will be. These maybe?

    Get Back – Mary Lou
Try to Remember – Big Phil
    You’ve got a Friend – Brian Hayes

  8. goldenbrown

I keep reading references in various newspaper articles and twitter feeds about how Calleary “lost his job”

he hasn’t lost his job, he didn’t receive a P45
he’s just demoted, lost all the juicy Minister bonus balls
a change of role, slap on the wrist, some international embarrassment as per the rest of them

a bit cheaper to employ maybe however we still pay his very handsome TD salary, we still pay for his very bonkers TD pension, he’s still at the trough

lost his job. spin at it’s finest.

      1. Charlie

He’d like him hung, drawn and quartered, then fed to the starving peasants outside the city walls. Failing that he’d like us to scream with anger every morning from now til the end of time to commemorate this world changing atrocity.

          1. Charlie

Perhaps but I reckon the eternal political whingers want blood and plenty of it…coz they need constant validation that everyone is up to no good except themselves.

          2. Brother Barnabas

cant speak for the other “eternal political whingers” but, me, I just hate FF and FG – and enjoy seeing them exposed for the fraudulent hypocrites they are. And when it comes to FF or FG, I’ll take every opportunity at a cheap shot that arises. So, yes, I’d be all for feeding him to the peasants.

          3. Charlie

My tone have obviously flown straight over your crown Brother. I couldn’t give a monkeys about any political party. Politics is merely the entertainment branch of industry.

          4. Rosette of Sirius

So, an elected representative is ‘fired’ as a TD and removed from his position of representing those who elected him…. Yeah, that sounds like a great idea…. He’s not a public servant – whether anyone likes it or not.

          5. V aka Frilly Keane

            Ah would ye get real
Callery is guaranteed a 1000 new 1st preferences to his core vote there in Mayo

And his predecessor in the Dept of Ag, Barry Cowen – easily twice that

And if Barry Cowen runs as an independent – which isn’t a stretch he’ll get two quotas for himself
            No bother
His Constitutents are more ticked off they’ve been denied a Minister than they are about him being over the limit

This Golf Thing is a Dublin thing
If RTÉ and the National Papers turned a blind eye to it, there wouldn’t be an issue with any of it at all
You definitely wouldn’t have a Supreme Court Judge apologising anyway

Voters in Mayo would have preferred to stay ignorant of it all and hang on to their Minister

            Cheezuz Broadsheet
            Haven’t ye learned anything

-i can’t really play, have no idea, surrounded by some the best courses in states,The National,The Maidstone and Shinnecock-just not my game but in i heard POTUS is a decent player, single digit handicap i think…

-no real faux outcry over a round golf, dinner few jars after in the clubhouse-its what people in states do every saturday and sunday….

        1. Brother Barnabas

“By the standards of most weekend golfers, Trump is a decent player … But he doesn’t claim to be decent player; he claims to be an élite amateur who has won a remarkable eighteen club championships… Over the years, however, tales of Trump’s chronic cheating on the links have circulated widely. In the new book “Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Donald Trump,” the sportswriter Rick Reilly has pulled these stories together and found some new ones. Relying on testimony from playing partners, caddies, and former Trump employees, Reilly pokes more holes in Trump’s claims than there are sand traps on all of his courses combined. It is by turns amusing and alarming. “Trump doesn’t just cheat at golf,” Reilly notes. “He cheats like a three-card Monte dealer. He throws it, boots it, and moves it. He lies about his lies. He fudges and foozles and fluffs.”
Reilly recounts a time when Trump was declared the senior club champion at Trump National Bedminster, in New Jersey, even though he was in Pennsylvania on the day that the event was played. “He’d declared that the club should start having senior club championships for those 50 and up, but he forgot that one of the best players at the club had just turned 50,” Reilly writes. “Having zero chance of beating the guy, he went up to his Trump Philadelphia course on the day of the tournament and played with a friend there. Afterward, according to a source inside the Bedminster club, he called the Bedminster pro shop and announced he’d shot 73 and should be declared the winner. The pro, wanting to stay employed, agreed. His name went up on the plaque.”
This turned out to be a double con. When someone from the Bedminster club called up Trump’s caddy at the course in Philadelphia and asked what he’d shot there, the caddy replied, “Maybe 82. And that might be generous.”

New York City- cases 237K-deaths 23,646.

-New York lost 914,000 jobs in April as the shutdown stared, or about 20%.

-US unemployment rate in July fell to 10.2%, New York’s barely budged Thursday, coming in at 19.8%, near Great Depression levels.

-In a report released last week, its estimated the real jobless rate for the city was at 33% with The Bronx at an unprecedented 41%

    – just 8% of employees have returned to the office as of mid-August.

-Only 26% of employees are expected to return by the end of the year.

-a total of 54% expected back by July 2021.

-a 10.1% decline in effective Manhattan rents in July to an average of $3,167, the biggest annual drop in almost nine years of record-keeping.

    – city residents receiving food stamps jumped by 200,000 in recent months to 1.7 million and those getting cash assistance increased by 50,000 to 380,000 in the last three months.

“The line stretched a quarter-mile before the sun was barely up Saturday, snaking around corners like bread lines in the 1930s. But the hungry in Queens are today’s New Yorkers, left jobless by the coronavirus.”

“La Jornada food pantry used to hand out groceries to roughly 1,000 families a week. Now, the number tops 10,000. And volunteers serve lunch every day to 1,000 — many of them kids with growling stomachs. Across the five boroughs, the hungry is in the hundreds of thousands, the Food Bank of New York estimates”

Hogan – the usual dragging and screaming eventually delivers an apology of sorts.

His position isn’t tenable. Can you imagine him being sent out by the EU to discuss trade agreements – he, and the EU will be laughed off the stage. A fellow who has no qualms about the safety of his fellow countrymen will have no qualms either doing wrong on other stages.

If he doesn’t resign, then let’s see how serious the EU view Covid. If they allow him to remain, then they’re condoning his behavior.

      1. GiggidyGoo

Don’t think his home address would be Kildare. (I read somewhere that he bought an apartment in the K Club with cash recently – somewhere around €500,000). And that’s where he stayed probably. He should have been under lockdown, but visited Varadkar 2 days before the expiry of it. Probably a ‘necessary’ journey. Don’t know if that meeting is in Varadkars diary.
His homeplace is probably Kilkenny, and the K Club a holiday residence? But under normal folk lockdown circumstances, he shouldn’t have travelled in or out.
Without details of Hogan’s diary (blank) we don’t know exact dates etc. So much for the SU being open with information.

        1. GiggidyGoo

Actually the 2 days I mentioned should refer to the isolation period. The lockdown is continuing in Kildare, so if he exited and entered it during lockdown then he’s broken the rules.

          1. Brother Barnabas

actually just noticing that the Times gives his movements leading up to the event – apparently hello left kildare 2 days before the lockdown and didnt return there

    1. Pat Mustard

      Sudan needs the rain, Nigel.

And the California wild fires were started by reckless idiots camping..

      1. Nigel

Sudan needs dozens dead, thousands homeless? And California must be incredibly vulnerable to wildfires if all it takes is a few idiots camping to do this every year.

        1. Pat Mustard

Sudan has just recovered from a civil war Nigel, the bodies were piling up before the floods.

Yes every year idiots unintentionally light the fires, look up the stats.

          1. Nigel

So what, a few more won’t make a difference? The mixture of drought and floods increasingly normalised by climate change aren’t really the kinds of conditions anywhere needs.

And every years the conditions for wildfires by whatever cause become worse.

          2. Pat Mustard

No Nigel, the war caused the bodies, not the floods, the rain was welcomed. My point is, the journalism is off.

I’m sorry, that’s a vague statement, wildfires are started by people not the sun.

          3. Nigel

The floods killed nobody? Sudan needs a stable climate.

Regardless of how they start, they’re more likely to turn into wildfires because of climate change.

          4. Pat Mustard

Not many, they worship and welcome floods Nigel. The past ten years have been very hard on Sudan. A military dictatorship has decimated the country.

Again, a vague statement which serves no purpose. Imo the wild fires are much less now than before, people are more careful, services are quicker. The climate has literally nothing to do with it.

          5. Nigel

I doubt they worship floods that destroy their homes and kill people. I doubt they welcome drought, either. They welcome a climate that is predictable and stable.

It’s not vague at all. It’s quite specific. Climate has everything to do with it. The changing climate has created the conditions for more and fiercer and larger widlfires in those areas, regardless of how they’re started.

          6. Pat Mustard

Nigel, when you live in perpetual desert with an average daily climate of 40°C, with the closest water we’ll 50+ miles away, what do you think the natives pray for?

It is vague, there’s no connection between the climate and wildfires.

          7. Nigel

They’re not praying for droughts and deadly floods, anyway.

The Californian redwood forests literally have a fire season…because of the climate. So as the climate changes, it stands to reason it would affect the fires.

      1. Nigel

‘Thus, while there is evidence of a recent increase in proportional fire severity for a specific forest type in California, these independent studies do not support the notion of an overall increase in fire severity over the past few decades in the fire-adapted forested landscapes in the western USA’

So…. an increase in the severity of the type of fire I linked to.

‘We do not question that fire season length and area burned has increased in some regions over past decades, as documented for parts of North America, or that climate and land use change could lead to major shifts in future fire consequences, with potential increases in area burned, severity and impacts over large regions’

        Ok.

‘The warming climate, which is predicted to result in more severe fire weather in many regions of the globe in this century will probably contribute further to both perceived and actual risks to lives, health and infrastructure.’

This is from 2016, so I guess they’ve been proved right about that already.

        1. Clampers Outside

No guessing please. Just the facts as presented.
          All of them.
One could just as easily “guess” that your comment is based upon “perceived”.

Rather than quoting a single sentence, lets look at the entirety of the closing paragraphs…

“Perhaps rather than a ‘wildfire problem’ that has worsened globally in recent decades, the negative, and sometimes tragic, consequences of fire themselves may be gaining wider public attention and, therefore, recognition. The fact that nowadays the latest news reports about disasters from around the world are readily available to large parts of the population may be a contributing factor. What is not spreading equally well is the recognition that fire is a fundamental natural ecological agent in many of our ecosystems and only a ‘problem’ where we choose to inhabit these fire-prone regions or we humans introduce it to non-fire-adapted ecosystems [3]. The ‘wildfire problem’ is essentially more a social than a natural one.

The warming climate, which is predicted to result in more severe fire weather in many regions of the globe in this century [53] will probably contribute further to both perceived and actual risks to lives, health and infrastructure. Therefore, the need for human societies to coexist with fire will continue, and may increase in the future [19]. We thus need to move towards a more sustainable coexistence with fire. This requires a balanced and informed understanding of the realities of wildfire occurrence and its effects. It is hoped that the data and discussion presented here, together with the other contributions in this special issue, will reduce misconceptions about fire and assist in providing this understanding.”

Now if I may draw your attention to this… which puts your own selected sentence in context:
“What is not spreading equally well is the recognition that fire is a fundamental natural ecological agent in many of our ecosystems and only a ‘problem’ where we choose to inhabit these fire-prone regions or we humans introduce it to non-fire-adapted ecosystems [3]. The ‘wildfire problem’ is essentially more a social than a natural one.”

Simply put, it is a problem of planning. Social planning.

          1. Nigel

‘Simply put, it is a problem of planning. Social planning.’

Congratulations. You have now arrived at the place environmentalists were at in about 1970. But I shouldn’t complain. Weve been screaming till we’re hoarse that we need proper planning, that planning is the key to everything.

‘One could just as easily “guess” that your comment is based upon “perceived”. ‘

            Or not.

‘UCLA climate scientist Daniel Swain lays down the startling reality of just how unprecedented California’s fires are.’

‘Since I wrote that post, an additional quarter of a million acres have burned–putting the California total over one million acres in less than two weeks.’

            Now arrived? Guffaw!!!

Your use of “we” is one of the best laughs I’ve had in exchanges with you, ever… hehehehe.. The absolute palpable arrogance that you think you know my position on that.

As for your links… I suggest you read the NCBI piece again.

          3. Clampers Outside

I hope these scientists are worth reading. Y’know, you being a known pseudo science fan boy an’ all.

            I’ll have a look later.

          4. Clampers Outside

Your links confirm what was in the NCBI link. I thought it was something additional to what NCBI noted. Thanks all the same.

          5. Clampers Outside

You should also read the discussion under the second link you provided where the fires are, according to a Berkley study, not outside the norm, and below pre-1800 levels.
The guy you linked to, confirms this, and goes on to say that the issue is with the numbers of people living in these areas today, which brings us back to the concluding point in the NCBI study, that the issue is social, ie planning.

          6. Clampers Outside

Here he is stating so… And as I pointed out to you previously, this should be seen in, as he states, in “context” of population living there (again, that being… social / planning)

“I have no doubt that vast areas burned prior to Western colonization. However:
            1. We’re talking about area burned in *less than two weeks,* not an entire year.
            2. There are now 40 million people living in California, and millions of acres burning in that context is unprecedented.”

          7. Clampers Outside

The *two weeks* point is also discussed in the comments.

Again, they are good links, that confirm the NCBI study.

          8. Nigel

Your histrionics aside, if you’ve been aware of environmentalists calling for better planning for as long as there have been environmentalists, then I’m not sure why you seem to think this is suddenly new information? Environmentalists were right when they said you shouldn’t build houses so close to forests that have a fire season. They were right when they said if you supress the natural cycle of fire seasons you’ll end up with worse fires. Now environmentalists are telling you that global warming is making widlfires worse, and more frequent. Perhaps it behooves you to pay attention.

You also seem to think I’m taking issue with something that I am not taking issue with. The problem of habitations in areas subject to wildfire is not going to suddenly vanish as global warming makes them more likely and more severe. Similarly, perceptions surrounding them as they get more media attention isn’t going to stop being an issue. There are certainly plenty of other indicaors of global warming and biodiversity loss and general environmental disaster I wish the media would also focus on.

          9. Clampers Outside

            Blahahahaha!
My “histrionics”…. Dust thou project too much… Brilliant laugh Nigel, thanks.

I’ll go read the rest of your comment now :)

          10. Clampers Outside

Proper LOLS all round, that whole first para based on your own suggestion that this is new to me.

You’re such a silly billy making such assumptions.

I linked to the NCBI, and neither I nor the NCBI said such thinking was new.
Cop on ya numpty, respond to what is written not what you imagine to be.

          11. Clampers Outside

Your second para is not very clear at all.

To clarify what’s happened in this thread…
You linked at the beginning to Gizmodo and Aljazeera news pieces.
I linked to research from NCBI which puts those news pieces in proper context.

            A back and forth ensued.

          12. Nigel

Are you going to say something worth responding to or just keep performatively typing your laughter? Because it’s a bit cringe, tbh.

          13. Clampers Outside

I responded to all and any coherent point you made.

If I missed any. Make a clear point… Heck, make a bullet point list if there’s more than one.

          14. Nigel

You’re seriously asking me to dumb it down for you? Have you no dignity? Here:

            – Listen to the environmentalists, they’re usually right, but if you insist on waiting until they get proven right it’s usually too bloody late.

          15. Clampers Outside

That’s a statement, not a question nor comment inviting discussion.
My original first response with a link to the NCBI research is more than sufficient an answer.

Thanks, I see nothing knew coming from this, it’s been fun.

            Until next time fan boy.

          16. Nigel

No, it’s a conclusion, supported by the study you linked to. I agree it’s nothing knew, but it still seems to pose some difficulty.

Environmentaists say: don’t build in forests that burn seasonally, houses will burn.
            Houses burn.
Environmentalists say: don’t suppress seasonal fires, will result in bigger fires.
            Fires get bigger.
Environmentalists say: cimate change will make wildfires worse.
            ?
            Listen to environmentalists.

Trump to make an announcement on CoVid-19 treatments today- anybody got any idea what that will be?

Speculation is the over the counter sale of hydroxychloroquine but it could be a vaccine- time will tell.

The problem is that those who done a rain dance or said a rosary or ‘mask up lock down’ will all claim that their suspicious rubbish prevented a viral wind- it did not- it will not.

I do take particular offense to a tweet by Saoirse McHugh who DEMANDED people not to go to the protest yesterday because it was homophobic- I was a horny homosexualist long before you were born darling and I will NOT to be lectured on what protests I should attend.

Go check who your former colleague throwing Nazi salutes before preaching to others.

        1. SOQ

Clip you user name back to ‘formerly’- we will still know who you are.

Your parish got quite the pubic blow back to an unknown vaccine solution I see.

NZ about to feel Mother Nature at her best I think.

          1. Formerly known as @ireland.com

I am asking what your solution is. It is easy to bag the options that the scientists/health works recommend.

“Your parish got quite the pubic blow back to an unknown vaccine solution I see.” – I don’t know what you mean. Scomo is a fool, so I don’t take anything he says seriously.
