Miss Lette (AKA ‘bumser’) politely refusing to participate in the daily constitutional on grounds of inclement weather. I quite agree.
Meanwhile…
The rain has finally moved on from the East and sunny spells developing now with just the odd shower in the West. Still only 13c in Dublin with that Northerly wind making it feel more like winter than the dying days of Summer! pic.twitter.com/erSY4JUm19

Its official, you’ve had a crap summer: http://meteofrance.com/actualites-et-dossiers/actualites/planete/irlande-une-annee-sans-ete
it’s like the seasons have shifted axis or something Janet
mid April thru early June were very summerlike
after that it was like autumn
and we’re now heading into winter and it’s still August…unreal…I’ve already had the heating on a few times now over last month
what part of France do you get to enjoy?
I lived in Paris for 18 years, I’d usually spend a lot of the summer in Marseille but back under the same rainy skies with you now….
The throw on my couch is a necessity, have also lit the fire few times
I got four seasons yesterday. The only things missing were sleet and snow.
Saw this and thought of you Janet.

hey thanks Lushie !, great article and happy to report not a knee pain in sight,
I like the way he thinks daily life should be exercise, I consider a good three hours house work a full workout, the trick is music, headphones, extra tushy shakes !
:).
Agree, there’s no workout like a couple of hours of housework and , thanks to Nick, we’ve no shortage of playlists.
Indeed, couldn’t get into that 80’s one though, sure there’s always next Friday :)
I take that as a personal insult! ;)
oh well I might as well tell you how I really feel, I have decided the 80’s is jazz through a crack pipe, ping pong bop
sorry Bertie
I must admit to loving all that 80s stuff, amongst others, it’s candyfloss music. It has its place, one of which is while you’re cleaning round the taps with a toothbrush, but I digress. Really appreciated all your contributions Bertie.
taps with a toothbrush, I think we maybe soul mates ;) do you own a steam cleaner ?
More importantly; do you make house calls?
:)
No steam cleaner, not really familiar.
What are they useful for?
omg everything, it blasts ridiculously hot steam through applications of your choice, example a hose or microfiber cloths and cleans, tiles, floors, all soft furnishings , I’m slightly addicted to mine, next level clean, brought a couch back to original colour,
I hate carpets and it actually makes me feel like they are clean..
sorry that was maybe TMI ;)
Jeez, I’ve wandered into last month’s Good Housekeeping by mistake.
stay tuned for recipes made from leftovers !
Love ya both x
Oh Bertie, you have no idea!
‘101 ways with a chicken carcasse.’
That sounds wonderful! And probably addictive, for those of us with over zealous cleaning genes. I shall investigate.
enjoy :)
( oxtail bones my self today ;))
