The Government is set to reopen pubs which do not serve food on September 21

The day’s fast approaching us when
Wet pubs might reopen and then
We’ll have pints once more
But we’ve been here before
And they could just delay it again

stop allowing “wet pubs” into common parlance. The Gov. made up the name and it’s very weak. Don’t let it catch on.

Or the ‘wet markets’ of Wuhan – loads of sweaty noisy animals piled in on top of each other and a major cause of spreading the pandemic…

        …oh wait now

Finally, sick of the absolute eye-bulging, vein-popping obsession most people (and the media) seem to have with pubs, it’s a place that serves alcohol and you can have a chat, big swing!

The Irish disease has never been more plainly laid bare.

    Just two things:

    1. Doheny and Nesbitt used to serve very good pub grub. A few years ago, I used to go there for lunch almost every Friday and paid 9-10 quid for the food. So, I don’t think their photo is the best illustration for wet pubs opening.

    2. From what I’ve read about the proposal on opening wet pubs, pubs would have to provide and enforce seating in smoking areas. What you see there – two whiskey kegs on a quite narrow footpath, right next to two AIB ATMs, is where many of their patrons smoke. I wonder whether the regulation affects them as well, and in what way.

Slag and thrash the topic of pubs
    9 yoyo toasted specials
    Receipts
Videos of lads acting the eejjit
Wet Full or look down yere noses at the relationship the Paddys have with their single function
    To serve alcohol

Now even poetry is having a go

Surely I’m not the only one to notice what’s really going on with the Licenced Trade in Ireland

There is a hostile take over going on
    And the Baddies are winning

Keep mocking lads – if it helps ye get to the end of the day or make sense of it all, but this continuing lockdown on this business sector is not about keeping people save from Covid 19

    It’s leverage
