The Sorting Office building in ‘Silicon Docks’ was due to be rented by Google to house 2,000 employees. The tech giant confirmed last night that plans for the lease have been cancelled.

    the fundamentals are sound, we’re at the heart of Europe, soft landings, stop talking down the economy.

    With so many workers at home Google aren’t in any hurry.

    Probably best to wait for the landlord to go bust, then buy the building cheap rather than renting.

    At any rate they have serious leverage to re-negotiate rents.

      That’ll take years to affect Google’s decisions on the ground. Renting a building in Dublin isn’t being discussed in boardrooms in Silicon Valley.
