Do you know it’s disrespectful to wear a hat indoors?
Yes, I too have just one question for the deputy:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVvcfJZjrSk
only applies to gentleman (exceptions being indoor sporting events, and in post offices, hotel lobbies, airports and train stations, and on public transport), whereas ladies are free to keep their hats on indoors, even during the national anthem- not, though, when attending luncheons. I, however, have worn a hat during sexual intercourse (indoors), which breaches almost every rule of etiquette – but women find that manly and arousing. And I expect this is the answer Mr Healy-Rae will give you.
was it a hard hat Stetson ?
Well, he doesn’t specify if he was participating in the actual congress taking place at the time.
Might have been a Watchman beanie …
I’m so naïve
No,this.

TL:DR
I’ve heard Michael Healy Rae playing the poor mouth on many occassions. Could you ask him how many millions he is worth, and what are his liabilities. Thanks.
I’m especially interested in how much money his plant hire business made from the HSE and Kerry County Council…
and can we have the answer to the nearest ‘millun’ please?
Oh great cause poor wee Michael Healy-Rae doesn’t get enough media attention
I gather the towns of Kerry have been divided up among the Healy-Rea clan.
Can Michael confirm which one is “his”?
Do your sons still run the town & chip van?
Haha
can you ask michael if he recalls the time he called me “nothing but a trumped-up dub” in a pub in sneem?
(and, if yes, can you tell him I took it as a great compliment)
…the Trump bit or the Dub bit?
both. together.
culchies are secretly in awe of dubs’ effortless cool and swagger. I think that’s what he was getting at.
That it, Dub.
That’s it.
So is that what Tommy Carr was really saying to Maurice Fitz that day in Thurles?
( ̄ヘ ̄)
A Jackeen :-)
Ah the good old days when there was still a sense of competition and rivalry.. sad to see those days pass.. ah well..
The time he was right you mean
you sure about that Brother
you’re not suggesting I’m a trumped-up dub, are you, frillz?
No. You are.
Are you, in fact, the real Charger Salmons?
Is that hat glued or stapled to yer head?
my question: will he continue to only work for Kerry issues in public office or will he at any stage extend his loyalty to serving the entire country considering he’s an Irish Government TD?
He’s in opposition not government.
whatever. point still stands; he clearly only fights and cares for Kerry issues.
And that’s why they keep voting him in….
yea, its such a rubbish system. the government is made up of politicians all vying to enhance their own localities be damned with anyone else. a system based on division. obviously not for the common good.
He fights for issues in this order:
1. Healy Rae Issues
2. Kerry South Issues
3. Kerry Issues
4. Rural Issues
5. Other miscellaneous
Q. why can’t people from Kerry pronounce the words ‘carpenter’ ‘calendar’ ‘cement’ and most other two-syllable words correctly? is there any correlation then that Kerry people can’t build houses on time?
all those words have 3 syllables
See also kettle.
here lads
if ye don’t knock it off with the messing
I’m going to line up all my own questions
which will include his Bake Off favourites, his best of Oceans 8 11 12 or 13 and what club he togged out for
final warning
Dear Micko Healo Ray-o,
Will you be pushing the government for an extension to drink serving hours? On the continent they can drink all through the night, here we can only drink till 12, 2 if you have the license. I demand more drinking hours
Kind regards, etc etc
Q: Do you still admire and respect John Delaney for spending almost 15 years lining his own pockets and running the organization into the ground via corruption and cronyism, and is he as you put it still “welcome in Kerry”? – Why would a blackguard like him be welcome in Kerry?
+ 1 Good question, Liam.
and I thought Dr. Marcus was going to get a hard time
What’s your favourite dinner? And don’t you think it’s the culchies that add character to Irish culture and not the high falutin jackeens ?
obvs hang sandwich,
Mr Healy-Rae, do you actually have a full head of luxurious hair beneath the cap and are just tricking everyone into thinking you’re a baldy boy with a complex?
Have you met Donie Cassidy?
Have you heard of Des Kelly carpets?
How are your 10 rental properties coming along?
Edit: sorry, I misspoke – it seems he actually owns 24 rental properties
Dear Mr Healey-Rae,
As a TD who always gets elected with a huge majority and coming from a family of popular politicians would you say that looking after your constituents and understanding their grievances is the key to your political success and that perhaps if more Irish politicians didn’t forget where they came from and why they got elected the Irish people would be better represented in the Dail ?
Keep up the great work by the way.You are the true voice of rural Ireland and Kerry loves you.
Yes – what a great country we would have if every politician ran on the sole platform of: “I am going to get as many taxpayer-funded goodies for this constituency as possible”
I think BS we’re looking for questions not a yellow mattress.
If one of your houses was on fire and you could only grab one thing, which cap would it be?
Have you ever hurt yourself jumping on a bandwagon?
How are the inmates of your direct provision centre?
Does Mr Healy-Rae think it fair that people living in Dublin are paying much more for their LPT than people who are living outside the capital (based on property values), and that 20% of the LPT raised in Dublin goes to fund partly fund smaller rural local authorities with financially weaker property bases, thus depriving the 4 Dublin councils of much needing funding for housing and infrastructure. Would Mr Healy-Rae be happy if the scenario was reversed for Kerry if 20% LPT money was leaving the county to go elsewhere?
Does Mr Healy-Rae support the abolition of the system of unvouched expenses for politicians at all levels to display heightened transparency around how politicians spend taxpayers money?
Could he comment on his Dail attendance record? He missed nine out of 10 Thursday voting sessions in the past to years to Oct 2019. He has been present for just seven of the 71 Thursday voting sessions in the same period.
LPT ‘s function is to ‘repay’ the bondholders. Up until it’s introduction, our taxes paid for facilities. When LPT was introduced there was no corresponding reduction in taxes.
– USC rates have dropped (or thresholds increased) almost every years since it’s introduction.
– Health Levy and the Income Levy were abolished in 2011;
– The lower-rate tax ceiling has increased a few times in the last few years.
Do you think publicans should be able to stick €1 on to the price of a pint when they reopen, as they haven’t been able to price gouge the public for nearly 6 months and everybody knows there’s no money in this game?
Would he ever reconsider (re)joining FF?
Q: Can you clear up the confusion about your involvement (25% share of the leasehold) in the Skellig Star Hotel in Cahersiveen and its subsequent and controversial use as a Direct Provision Centre. Furthermore, can you explain why this interest was not included amongst the 21 other property interests you declared in the 2019 Oireachtas Register of Interests?
The Healy-Raes need more cash! Quick. To the news media!
If you could change just one thing about your appearance, how much hair would you have?
If a bachelor farmer drinks a feed of pints in your brother’s pub, then drives home along rural roads he knows like the back of his hand, can he still catch covid?
This boyo will bat away anything thrown at him.
As someone once said of Ahearn:
“It’s like playing handball against a haystack”.
Don’t you hate pants?
Do you believe the current government should provide taxpayer funded subtitles for you, your brother and Mattie McGrath?
Hi Michael – given that English pubs have been open for a couple of months with no notable spike in CoVid-19 infections afterwards, why do you think the Irish Government are so reluctant here?
Also- given that so many people have become accustomed to drinking at home now, do you think that is going to affect footfall in the longer term?
Finally- do you think the restrictions being imposed on pubs when they do finally get to open are necessary?
What does Deputy Healy-Rae think of the idea that TDs with vested interests or potential conflicts of interest should be banned from using their position to advocate or lobby for anything in any way connected with such interests. Say, for example, publicans or property landlords.
And maybe, apart from sanctions for violating such a ban, anyone else in their vicinity should be both entitled and required to say “shut up with your self-serving nonsense”.
Do you think Donald Trump should sack his hair stylist and just buy a cap?
Michael…well done for going on de telly. Have any Govt TDs privately raised concerns/bewilderment with you about any of the Covid restrictions/regulations or measures? Do you think there’s enough pre-legislative scrutiny of the regs? Timewise…when do TDs get first sight of the new regulations?
How is the rhododendron situation in Killarney?
Will the deputy shed some light on the several thousand votes he received ensuring his victory in the ‘celebrities in the wild’ TV programme which were traced to a phone in Leinster house?
I guess Michael is a mad Kerry GAA fan like everyone else in the Kingdom. But I was wondering does he follow any soccer teams? Any team in the Premier league?
Also, does he have a golf handicap- is he a member of the TDS society?
Does he know who won the Golfgate outing?
Are you the most disliked man in Ireland judging by these comments ?
Would Mr Healy Rae and his brother ever consider staying in the county council chamber where they belong rather than inflicting their congenital pantomime gombeen routine on Dail Eireann at huge financial and societal expense?
