So mehole is appearing in visor rather than a face nappy.

Are children allowed into school in similar or are teachers so much more precious than non unionised shop workers?

    1. Do I need a username?

Get a job, get a life, get a grip on reality SOQ.

I appreciate that life has not been kind but spending all day every day indulging ever more fantastical conspiracy theories will not bring that which you crave.

I have a user name suggestion
” stop making it personal ” especially when someone doesn’t agree with you , it’s unkind

        1. Janet, dreams of big guns

I think you’ll find I don’t make personal nasty attacks so that doesn’t really work

        2. SOQ

The sort who attempts to reach out over the internet in order to bully someone else is a sight to behold- funny even.

But sure that is angry old lesbians for you.

    2. Ian-Oh

Nobody cares SOQy, we all know who to blame for the current situatuon.
People like you and BS being incapable of not spinning everything into a bloody conspiracy. Cop on FFS.

    3. SOQ

Nobody cares? I think a whole lot of people do care- especially those with children who have to sit in the friggen things all day.

The issue being that some people wrongly assume face coverings means ONLY masks and that some teachers are insisting on such- when they have no right to do so.

But pointing this out by highlighting that the Taoiseach was pictured not wearing a mask and not practising social distancing- somehow makes you a conspiracy theorist.

      We lost a giant

      Who will take her place?
I’m heartbroken just trying to think of someone even fit to hold her coat

Ruth Bader Ginsburg made her life about Equality
We are all better off for her time here
No matter who you vote for

      RIP Ruth girl

        RIP indeed

and worse still Barr, McConnell and the rest of his GOP mates have been no doubt counting down the days…..for there’s massive ramifications here if they manage to shoehorn in one of their preferred conservative replacements. the US could be well and truly bollixed far beyond the stuff that’s going on on the streets

I am 100% behind efforts to control the virus. I think everyone should be wearing masks. Can someone explain the value in a lockdown if you don’t control arrivals into the country? I know people are told to quarantine for 14 days but I know that in Australia, 25% were not at home when they were checked on. In Australia, all arrivals, apart from the great and the good, are forced to stay in supervised hotel quarantine for 14 days.

Not true Clamps- just look at the US- the Democrats lockdowned way harder than republicans.
Even on here you can see it- the Left love a bit of good old authoritarianism.

    – I see Bozo and Netanyahoo are leftie authoritarians, now. The pandemic is not a left/right issue. If you make it one, the virus wins.

    1. SOQ

It is the now Left who want to band silence and censor everything formerly so the Right has grabbed hold of the ‘free speech’ mantra- when in fact, free speech is a corner stone of any democracy.

Authoritarianism is not just some tin pot dictator, it is just as much social media companies cancelling eminent scientists because they do not agree with the current lockdown narrative.

Of course there is right wing characters as well but my point was more cultural than about specific leaders.

      1. Nigel

I love how you lump in the hyper-capitalist corporate surveillance entities that run social media in with ‘the left.’

      2. Nigel

‘Authoritarianism is not just some tin pot dictator’
        but it helps

Probably didn’t hurt as much as getting your twitter account temporarily suspended for violating t&s and havng to rely on the entirety of Facebook to promote your misinformation, but it probably hurt a little.

      3. Nigel

A leader who tells his followers they’re genetically superior – no, best to worry about cultural stuff, that’s the real danger.
‘”You have good genes, you know that, right? You have good genes. A lot of it is about the genes, isn’t it, don’t you believe? The racehorse theory. You think we’re so different? You have good genes in Minnesota.” — Trump’

….said Mr. Inferiority himself, the fellow lecturing us yesterday about commenting on Farage’s milkshake woes. Despicable is a mild description of you.

    2. V AKA Frilly Keane

You’ve outed yourself good and proper now Charage

All your Brexit Boris bravado, trumpeting and championing
Your attempts to undermine and unhinge the Paddys
      Gone

Like a plume of stale fart from a punctured scout tent

And all that’s left standing is your deep veined problem with Women
Your tent pole all along was misogyny
      And your fear of Women

All that effort and time was for nothing bhoy

You won’t even go down in the history of Broadsheet as a memorable character
But as a sad man that couldn’t come to terms with Women being equal
Turns out, for everyone else to see now as well,
that the Frau that you were so determined to title the German Chancellor
was just Fraud misspelled by your subconscious

Funny how true colours work all the same

Here’s me thinking it was just a joke based on facial similarity.
        I didn’t realise I’d offend the sisterhood.
Still, I’ll take that as a plus anytime.

          1. V AKA Frilly Keane

Easy to tell you’re a complete loner

Shop Own Brand Gin is probably as close as it gets for you in the real World

            Kinda makes me sad
That you’ve busted the myth like
I kinda like the notions of 2nd home getaways and too much fine wining n’ dining

Now in the cold hard light of it all Charage
We have to live with the mental image of you moulded into a scruffy settee
Crackling in biscuit crumbs and nacho chips
Lap top – sticky keys of course
Resting on the belly – when it doesn’t have to make way for the slimming world curry
Still eye level – same with the telly
Fork in one hand —- no a soup spoon
            And remote in the other

            Living the dream .

except the “someone who has” is douglas beattie (“ricardo” to his chums), a unionist MLA and ex-army boy (indeed, from a long line of undistinguished ex-army boys)

and you were wailing about alleged lack of impartiality of the maker?

      the thickness of it, chubbser

        1. GiggidyGoo

Ha haaa. The cheapo poster with the massive inferiority complex. Walter Mitty reincarnated. Awful that you have to spend your time trying to pick holes in everything Irish. Sure Have Inferiority Troubles when you have to look to Ireland to try find fault, and then quote a link from the Newsletter.
The Peoles Republic Of Cork cottoned on to you and you had to scurry away with your tail between your legs. http://www.peoplesrepublicofcork.com/forums/showthread.php?t=209757
Sad life, sitting in the one-bedroomed, imagining a bottle of tonic has gin in it, as well as imagining yourself on a beach 3000 miles away.
          Tsk tsk.

      1. scottser

You must love the taste of your own backside charger. It gets handed to you on a plate a couple of times a day and you just scoff it up and ask for more.

    2. Charger Salmons

Today feels like that TV commercial where someone shakes a packet of cat food and the moggy comes crashing through the wall.
      Here kitties…

        1. Charger Salmons

Well it is daytime and I am drinking free booze.
          G&T actually.
But I’m a couple of miles offshore sailing in a warm breeze and triggering all the usual sillies on here so life is pretty darn good.

          1. Daisy Chainsaw

What a sad existence. On holiday, but still needing the attention on BS. Embarrassed both by and for you Charage.

          2. GiggidyGoo

Hammocks ‘a couple of miles offshore’ ROFL. The upper bunk in a bed sit more like with a framed picture of a beach.

          3. GiggidyGoo

Sure Have Inferiority Troubles meter running in overdrive. Hope you’re enjoying your beans on toast in your bed sit. ROFL. Walter Mitty. Off shore in a hammock? Were you ever upstairs in a bus?

          1. V AKA Frilly Keane

That doesn’t mean they should get their own way
And get to admire their handiwork whenever they like

            And as long a Broadsheet
Along with any other forum I come across
            Host such stuff
I won’t be leaving it dangling there and letting them have an easy time of it

I don’t mind the different politics and lads pushing their political agendas
            I’d actually encourage them
But I’m :úc::: if I’m going to ignore inherent sexism, persistent misogyny, ignorance and intolerance,
And a few other double standards bits n’ bobs that deny Equality
            For all of us
            No matter where I am
            Or where I see it

Tis entirely up to Broadsheet whether I’m allowed to or not

    3. Cú Chulainn

I believe the saying ‘you can’t handle the truth’ was made for you and your British overlords. Still can’t face up to supporting a state that set about the murder of its own citizens because of their religion. The same state that organised the no warning bombs in Dublin and Monaghan. All sounds very familiar, if you were in 1930’s Germany. Meanwhile, how is that great relationship going ? I believe your Rabb and Bozo just got themselves a serious spanking. They probably like that. At least you all know who the boss is. Good luck fish man.

  4. Birdie

Oh Ruth gainsbourg died… I really enjoyed the Netflix documentary about her. She seemed some fragile yet my goodness what a powerful woman with an incredible work ethic. RIP

” President Michael D Higgins’ dog Síoda has passed away, it has been announced. ”
The IT and Indo have reported this grave news.
Tributes will soon be pouring in.
Ireland is still an ongoing episode of Father Ted.

    1. GiggidyGoo

9.9% already on the SHI Troubles meter. Ireland, Ireland and more Ireland. Lockdown in a one-bed must be getting to you.

    1. SOQ

If you mean by working- delaying the enviable yes. Stopping the virus- absolutely not- that is like claiming to stop the weather.

Thing about all this is it will take two seasons to really prove who was right and who was wrong- one of which has already passed.

If the good ship Sweden sails on regardless in the next while other countries keep doing the CoVid Hokey Pokey- we will have a pretty definite answer.

    1. GiggidyGoo

So, who to believe in polls? B&A (this one) or RedC (last one)? Polls just aren’t an accurate reflection, even at a ‘point in time’ as the bould Cian would say. These are too close together for such a deviation. Whatever about B&A, RedC were caught out stuffing the People’s Assembly with cronies – the intent being what? – , so anyone who puts faith in that type company needs to have a stern word with themselves.

      1. V AKA Frilly Keane

I don’t have much time or faith in polls either
        Especially Irish ones
As I think they are all very much “to order”
In as much as they can get away with

But they do give a general direction of movement

        I posted this one
        Because
        a) it confirms (again) that Sinn Féin is now firmly the other half of the two main party electorial divide of Western Democratic Politics. That they are now the Norm, and Fianna Fail are over, in that they will unlikely ever have a gain again.

        b) that it’s also a reminder of the leverage Fine Gael have in Government. And that’s very worrying. At least Ursula got in their way there – for a bit anyway, and did us a favour, in fairness.

        And,
        c) That Sinn Féin are going to wipe out the younger Left Parties & Groupings – I think there’s still enough Labour votes out there to keep them in and around 5%

My guess – even from this far out, is that Fianna Fail and Independents will be equal in numbers in the next Dáil

  6. Steph Pinker

Mr Salmons, you really are intent on bringing out the worst of the hidden personalities of BS commenters, aren’t you?

  7. GiggidyGoo

How low can someone get? To rob from someone in a wheelchair, and assault him in the process?
    Despicable.

  8. Jerry

All over Europe cities are about to explode

God love the poor souls as the authorities are going to have to bring in some very unpleasant measures that fly in the face of human rights but saying that it’s about the right to life not the right to do what you want that has implications for the health of others
