any info on what actually caused these people to be admitted to hospital and ICU? Were they admitted for heart disease or cancer or similar? Would you happen to have the age profile at least?
I don’t have that level of detail.
It is possible that there are some asymptomatic cases in these numbers in hospitals – but the numbers keep rising.

There is the occasional funny side to Covid-19 if you’re English.
Scots suffered under less freedom than the English throughout the summer in a vain attempt to reach ‘zero Covid’.
They missed out on pubs, restaurants, and socialising with loved ones for far longer than England.
And First Minister Nicola Sturgeon even warned of a border being put up to stop infected English people travelling north.
Now Scotland has the worst Covid-19 figures of any region in the UK.
Worst of both worlds. What a failure.
