So serious that we have a six week lockdown eh?
But GAA matches survive (so travel restrictions don’t apply to GAA folk). Isn’t it great that these have some immunity that the rest of us don’t know about?
Likewise schools stay open. Sure no risk there either?
‘Advice’ is to confine to 5km. Nothing enforceable.
200 nurses down. ICU beds at 50% of the HSE’s own recommendation. Varadkar pushing Pfizer as the saviour, despite no FDA approval for their ‘vaccine’. In fact, it’s not even submitted for approval.
Government spokespersons for health are two failed Health Ministers, Varadkar and Harris, while the current failed Health Minister has been sidelined. (fired? – but sure we can’t be losing another FF Minister, can we?)
Ah Varadkar’s Trinity.
Funny that the college Law Society should be making this award. Varadkar didn’t get enough points to study medicine so started studying law in Trinity. A few months into the law course, he was ‘awarded’ more points to enable him study medicine. That’s the type of ‘award’ that Trinity makes.
I wonde will they give one to Holohan (even jointly with Harris) for their handling of the Cervical Cancer Smear Testing debacle and attempted cover up!
All elite sport is allowed to continue. Also continuing is sport for school aged children in groups of no more than 15. So why the need to blame the GAA?
The cabinet are meeting today to discuss FCNs for breaching the 5km so that limit may soon be enforceable.
Pfizer has just one of 11 vaccines currently being tested on people. The FDA requires 2 months of test data and Pfizer, in an open letter form the CEO, say they hope to have the vaccine sent to the FDA in the 3rd week of November. I mention this not to disagree with you but to provide more information on the status of the vaccine. An Taoiseach said last week that life will not return to normal until we have one.

Yesterday the Examiner reported there are 800 nurses less in the system than this time last year.
After a year of pandemic.
The civil service of the 26 counties have found the best reason to sit on their hands and now need everybody else to do likewise.
How is it the GAA is an infection free zone – while shops on Grafton Street must shut down business?
When has there been a more tyrannical administration?
Covid is being used as cover.

I had a dawning realisation at the weekend…
We were watching Emily in Paris (it’s brutal, but Paris is gorgeous)
I fancied the 57 year old boss lady more than the young innocent abroad
Janet, dreams of warm feet
naturally one was prepubescent and dressed like she was on acid, the other had refinement, curves and wit,
don’t get me started on Emily, there’s hilarious memes going around with her photoshopped into real Emily on Paris situations… Emily forgets her navigo, Emily at the prefecture, Emily tries to cancel a phone subscription etc, etc …much better than the real thing
Janet, dreams of warm feet
that Emily would have been road kill after her first day.. just saying
ReproBertie
I hear you Bertie. Getting to the point where the young actresses are just too young to be looking at them that way.

That Lily Collins is 31 years old! And yeah, the boss lady way hotter….
Show was silly oul nonsense but then we need a lot more of silly oul nonsense these day so it went down rather well in our house.
Now, something of a similar premise, Call My Agent is worth a watch. But this is properly French and with subtitles for the rosbifs…..
Janet, dreams of warm feet
it’s fabulous !
plus recommend from me
ReproBertie
I heard the end of a conversation on RTÉ Radio 1 about “Call my Agent” and sadly had missed the start and the name of the show. It was well recommended there and now that I have the name I’ll give it a go.
On the subject of French shows, anyone watch “A Very Secret Service?” I find it very entertaining.
Janet, dreams of warm feet
yes !

Has cocooning gone out the window also?
No mention of it yesterday.

Gotta love the Daily Mail cover. Mary Kennedy runs 5km a day…not 6km you notice. Wouldn’t want to go outside the government mandated quarantine zone. Oh and don’t forget your flu jab. You will come to love your chains you muppets.
ReproBertie
Have you heard of circles? They make it possible to run as far as one likes within a 5km radius.
…cannot believe this government went with the advice of NPHET instead of BS Bord na Rona…

“IMPASSIONED PLEA”??? It was a robot reading lines we’ve heard for months off a teleprompter. We are an emotional people, and an impassioned plea wouldve done some good. But such a thing is outside martins capabilities.

Remember Project Fear ?
One of Belgium’s premier pharmaceutical companies, UCB, has announced a £1 billion investment into new UK facilities over the next five years.
Apparently UCB embarked on a downsizing initiative in which they attempted to shut down their UK operations entirely and shift everything to Belgium, only for the highly-skilled workforce to refuse to move.
In the end they gave up, and so the pharmacologists have announced £1 billion of new investment on a 47-acre British campus.
This is especially ironic given they have a Brussels HQ and members of the Belgian establishment as major stakeholders and board members.
