            I’m grand, stepmother,(see what I omitted there) they had a bowl of nuts on the counter in the pub.

      You see a lot of happy people though. Won’t see too many of those between now and January but hey – at least we all get to sit at home and wait for the kids to bring it back to us from school. Like shooting fish in a barrel. The only people who actually think that any of this is a good idea, that any of this will bring anything other than utter misery to normal people, are people with nothing better to do with themselves – including you, clearly. I’d honestly rather be dead than face the next 2 months. Spend 6 weeks of misery to be told it’ll be another 2 weeks of misery then maybe another week of misery so we can all suffer a miserable christmas waiting for a mythical third wave. For what? how many actual lives will be saved

        @wearnicehats

        Santa would disagree.

        Never know, if you’re good, you might just get a Corona hat in your stocking!

        If, that is, you’re good.

        Tow the line – we’re all in this together.

        It’s gonna be crap man.

        Sure hang in there.

        There’s always Broadsheet to vent the madness :-)

        How many actual lives would it take for it to be worth it? Might be a better way of putting it to you. I think you’re a little hysterical on the other part. God straight people and xmas it’s always so dramatic.

          Here’s an idea – I know it sounds crazy, but it works for me – don’t borrow money.

          “Neither a borrower nor a lender be; / For loan oft loses both itself and friend.”

          Polonius – fictional character.

            You understand that the majority of people could not possibly buy a home without a mortgage? Which is serviced by a regular income.

            Polonius owned his own gaff. And was not the wisest, as it turned out.

    Make the people be seen to pay for the dysfunctionality of an incompetent state.

    After all, this worked in two thousand and eight.

    the fact that no one commented on how close stranger tables are to each other emboldens my opinion that everyone’s forgotten or dont care about safety guidelines.
