but good luck with this.
Best of luck with it.
And accredited with Apple too I see.
Nice, as they are gits for “non certified” repairs
Used them under a samsung warranty this year, very good service.
I have a Samsung with a lots of kids photos on it. Broke the phone a couple of years again, it’ll charge but the screen is black. Would they be able to recover the photos from the phone?
same
is that a samsung thing ?
Well my phone is kinda “curved” cos I bent it by accident. It may not be a widespread Samsung issue :D
Will your computer recognize the phone if you plug it into the USB? If so, you should be able to download the photos to it.
It does recognise it but it was password protected and I have tried 3rd party software to unlock it but no luck.
Try this:
Connect a keyboard to your device with a USB cable. (You can get a connection for your phone with an adaptor at the end of it for a keyboard USB plug)
Press any two keys on the keyboard, then enter your password (the third key you press will be the first digit of your password). Use the backspace key if you make a mistake
Then get the charging lead with a USB connection and connect to the PC.
May / may not work but worth a try.
Thanks. Unfortunately, my password was one of those swipe a shape ones :(
Argh. New screen required then
I’d imagine they will attach it to a temp screen or a monitor to enter the password and then copy the data off of it.
Do some reviews on this company, be sure you and they know what you want done, and exactly how much it will cost, and also when will the device be returned? I have heard mixed reviews of their service.
Excellent, thanks! I will look into them and some other providers. All I’m interested in is recovering the photographs.
@Wilhelm.
I had the very same black screen problem with a Samsung last year, couldn’t unlock it etc…needed to get a lot of stuff off the drive.
After a while it suddenly dawned on me how to gain access.
Did you at anytime have Find My Phone or any similar type app installed on it ?
;)
OnePlus.

I’ve always had you down as a sophisticated woman V despite your occasional caterwauling and carrying on.
I imagine the excellent camera in the OnePlus only enhances your photogenic features.
If only they made an old-fashioned box camera …

Thinking of upgrading but can’t decide on the 8T or the 8Pro.
The thing is I’m still on a 6T and it’s working perfectly but I do quite fancy the 5G.
I gave Lady Charger my old 5 a couple of years ago and it still works as good as the day it came out of the box.
Look at you there trying to pretend you are a normal cis male. It’s cute when you do that
Love the OnePlus phones. Have had a 3 and a 5. Got a refurbished Huawei P20 most recently and absolutely adore it. I’ve had it a year and it’s still works perfectly.
The Chinese can have all my boring data. It’s a brilliant phone.
