The Roads Lead Back To You

This morning.

Via AP:

Election officials in Georgia’s 159 counties are undertaking a hand tally of the presidential race that stems from an audit required by state law.
The law requires that one race be audited by hand to check that the machines counted the ballots accurately, not because of any suspected problems with the results. Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger chose to audit the presidential race and said the tight margin — Democrat Joe Biden leads Republican President Donald Trump by 14,000 votes — means a full hand count is necessary.

The final numbers in the audit count will almost definitely be slightly different than the numbers previously reported by the counties but the overall outcome should remain the same, said Gabriel Sterling, who oversaw the implementation of the state’s new voting system for the secretary of state’s office.

Amid a razon-thin purported lead by the Democratic candidate in some key swing states, and Republicans questioning the legality of the voting, Dominion Voting Systems has found itself in the eye of the storm.

Dominion, originally a Canadian company that is now headquartered in Denver, makes machines for voters to cast ballots and for poll workers to count them. It also produces the software that helps government officials both organise and keep track of election results.

US President Donald Trump’s campaign attorney demanded recounts in every state that used the company’s software (at least 28 states), after it was revealed to have wrongly given 6,000 votes to Democrats in the Michigan county of Antrim, with a “glitch” being stated as the reason.

“If 30 states have used the software and there’s already proved to be a glitch of 6,000 votes in one balloting area… lawyers should be… demanding a manual recount,” said Jay Sekulow, a member of President Donald Trump’s legal team.

This “glitch” thing has been well covered. It was spotted due to the manual checks and is down to manual error.

Had it been a widespread issue with the software then many more instances would have been spotted in count centres using the software but they weren’t.

I love the logic that Republican congressional seats were all won in a fair and secure ballot but the presidential race was a fraud.

That is the point- if enough anomalies are found then it raises questions about the entire US electoral system, not just this election.

It is the point though. There was undeniable evidence that Bush Jnr stole the election both times yet both Gore and Kerry meekly accepted the results. Same thing happened in the Democratic primaries. The DNC lawyers’ brazen defence in a 2016 class action lawsuit crowdfunded by Democratic Party members, was that the DNC were within their rights to choose their own preferred candidate. And yet there was never a sign of any challenge to Clinton’s nomination from Sanders.

Long-time election integrity campaigner, Prof. Mark Crispin Miller, (who incidentally, suspects that voter fraud may have played a role in Trump’s 2016 victory) says it points to something larger at play: – career politicians, regardless of whether Republican or Democrat (aka collectively known as “The Corporate Party”, as Chomsky put it), know that certain subjects are politically taboo.

As Crispin Miller points out, it’s acceptable to speak of external actors threatening the election process via social media ads etc, but what never gets any real attention is the vulnerability of electronic voting machines and the ballot counting system to fraud.

Trump,no doubt motivated by his own narcissism rather than any principled stance, broke the taboo.

Republicans in the Senate blocked, I think, 2 Democratic House bills to tighten electronic voting security and increase transparency. If he broke a taboo it’s an entirely Republican one.

It’s the same sh*te used by Democrats i last election – Russian hacking stole election etc etc.
It’s just getting the ball rolling 4 years early for the next election – energize your base and accuse the others of being evil/fradulent etc

The US needs a better voting system like Proportional representation (PR). It’s the only way to break the 2 party system

…Nigel whinged for four years…has yet to acknowledge that without Russian ‘help’, Trump managed to increase his vote considerably…

AZ can’t be recounted (Campaigns can’t ask for recounts, and Biden’s margin is too big for an automatic recount.)

AZ gives Biden 270 EVs without PA & GA.

In other words, all the litigation in PA & GA can’t change the outcome.

            FINAL STATES PROJECTED/CALLED.

President-elect Joe Biden will win Georgia

Outgoing President Donald Trump will win North Carolina

Final electoral vote count will be

            306 for Biden
            232 for Trump

when trump won he had 306-described many, many times as…

            Kellyanne Conway
            @KellyannePolls
            306. Landslide. Blowout. Historic.

-first trump address before nation since his EPIC loss in a LANDSLIDE is at 4 pm today…HISTORIC

Probably the best campaign coverage was here.
    Nuzzi nails it,as always.

“Donald Trump going out with a limp seems like an oxymoron,” a senior adviser to the president told me. In width and in word, in soaring skyscrapers and Brioni suits and arena rallies and various euphemisms for great (yuge, bigly), the man has been defined by and obsessed with largeness. His presidency is ending small.“

      Let the healing begin….

“Is anyone archiving these Trump sycophants for when they try to downplay or deny their complicity in the future?” she wrote. “I foresee decent probability of many deleted Tweets, writings, photos in the future.”
A group calling itself the Trump Accountability Project sprung up to heed AOC’s call.

“Remember what they did,” the group’s sparse website declares. “We should not allow the following groups of people to profit from their experience: Those who elected him. Those who staffed his government. Those who funded him”

I know for a FACT! (and I have capitalised it and added an exclamation mark so you know its the real deal) that all the states that voted for Trump had BILLIONS! (again, as you can see this is indisputable) of dead GOP voters voting for him.

A man who looks nothing like Keith Lemon today confirmed that he saw with his own eyes (he doesn’t have any spares) hordes of dead GOP voters rising from their graves to vote for Trump.

I think its time for some COMMON SENSE! here, so scrap the election, bring back Ralph Nader (KING RALPH!) and all will be well and we will be FREED! from the tyranny of seatbelts (and facemasks, unsafe at any viral load).

  4. Stall the Ball

If Trump is knowingly making false claims of fraud and refusing to concede an election he knows he lost then surely that is treason.

If Biden is knowingly relying on fraudulent votes to claim victory in an election he knows he never had any chance of winning in the first place then surely that is treason.

Only one of the above can be true.

Electoral Collage won’t meet until 14 December. There won’t actually be a winner ’til then.

In the meantime – everybody chill.

True, but putting milk on top of your tea bag before the boiling water should be with the requisite sentence for offenders.

            I was joking of course.
I’m just enjoying a cup of McGrath’s Freetrade Reserve from Aldi together with a mini Stollen.
Sadly it’s an apple stollen which is far too sweet.
            I prefer the butter.
Although Lady Charger has espied a Jamaican Rum mini-Stollen which sounds delightful..
Mind you, I doubt you’re that interested in the minutae of domestic bliss at Chateau Marvellous but I just thought you’d like a glimpse into how the other half lives.

    1. ReproBertie

Refusing to concede is not treason. There’s no rule, regulation or law saying he has to concede. It’s just good manners and we have seen no evidence that he has any of those.

  5. SOQ

Interesting developments on the Dominion Voting Systems (alleged) fraud- Dr. Eric Coomer, head of Dominion strategy and security, is an outspoken Antifa supporter apparently- oh dear.
