‘They Were Built To Do This Very Thing’

at

Last night.

US President Donald Trump’s attorney Sidney Powell amplified fraud claims involving US Presidential Election 2020 ballot tabulators manufactured by Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic software that allegedly changed hundreds of thousands of votes to Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

Ms Powell’s claims involve six battleground states — Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — that stopped counting votes after midnight on Election Day when President Trump was ahead in those states.

A ‘glitch’ in one Michigan county converted an estimated 6,000 votes for Trump to Biden.

During a podcast with conservative commenter Mark Levin last night, Ms Powell outlined her claims:

Sidney Powell: “I’ve got a firsthand witness. In fact I’ve just emailed you an affidavit from a witness who can now be used publicly. It’s redacted in some places but he was present for the creation of the system for this specific purpose of falsifying election results for Hugo Chavez and then Maduro [In Venezuala]. They exported this all over Latin America . It’s the Smartmatic and Dominion systems that were built to do this very thing, for changing the results of elections… And he realised when things were happening the way they were here, particularly with the states the suddenly went down, they stopped counting the votes. It was because the need was so great to President Trump that they had to go in and do a separate reset on the machines to have them come out for Biden.”

Mark Levin
: “And you have evidence of this affect? Witnesses to this affect?”

Sidney Powell
: “I do, indeed.”

Meanwhile…

Smartmatic, a company that was founded in Florida and is now based in London, denied financial connections to Dominion in a post on its website.

“Smartmatic has never owned any shares or had any financial stake in Dominion Voting Systems. Smartmatic has never provided Dominion Voting Systems with any software, hardware or other technology. The two companies are competitors in the marketplace,” Smartmatic’s post read.

Fact Check: Have Senior Democrats Raised Concerns About the Smartmatic Voting Software, as Trump’s Lawyer Claims?

She looks like another one of Trumps evangelical lawyer freaks, they keep falling out of the clown cupboard.

For process crimes, not collusion or interference. Who was convicted for collusion/interference Nigel?

          2. Nigel

‘Process’ crimes lol. They were a pack of corrupt crooks that got off lightly because they’re wealthy white-collar and political criminals with the protection of the presdient, an unindicted co-conspirator, the guys whose claims of fraud we’re now supposed to take at face value.

          3. ReproBertie

If you read the report you saw the evidence of Russian interference. There’s pages of it. Nobody here wants to see me post pages of the activities of the Internet Research Agency, a Russian organisation funded by a close associate of Putin, in creating fake social media accounts, paying for anti-Clinton ads etc as part of Project Lakhta.

It’s all covered starting on page 14: https://www.justice.gov/storage/report.pdf

          4. Nigel

Wasn’t Paul Manafort literally a Russian agent? While working for the campaign? Why do people who will claim every terror attack or school shooting is a false flag before they even know what happened insist on passionately defending Trump, a deeply shady man with many shady Russian connections, from accusations of getting shady with Russia? It hasn’t even really been a live issue since the report was issued, but they’re still furious about it.

The Democrats obviously decided that everyone who’d made up their minds about it had already done so and trying to explain it concisely to people who hadn’t would bog them down, and the pandemic was much more immediate. Pat here is still mad about it, and also mad that it waasn’t an election issue, which is why he brings it up over and over again. Poor Pat.

          5. Pat Mustard

“Wasn’t Paul Manafort literally a Russian agent?”

This shows exactly how little you know of RG Nigel. Leave the conversation to the educated.

          6. E'Matty

@Reprobertie Actually, there is not one single piece of evidence of any Russian State interference in the US election. None. I’ll donate a €100 to a charity of your choosing if you can provide one single piece of evidence of Russian State interference in the 2016 election. If you believe it is in the Mueller Report, please detail the page and paragraph number.

          7. ReproBertie

Well E’Matty, the report is chock full of evidence of Russian interference but perhaps you could show me where I said there was evidence of Russian State interference in the US election.

          8. Pat Mustard

No there isn’t Bertie. There’s alleged interference. None of the accounts could be categorically traces. The endightments were meaningless. No convictions wrt collusion or interference.

And you stated that the accounts were traced back to some mate of putins which is a silky lie, and confirms your Russian state implication. You cited this, so you believe it.

          9. ReproBertie

“you stated that the accounts were traced back to some mate of putins which is a silky lie”
            It’s what the report says.

“and confirms your Russian state implication”
            In your opinion.

          10. Pat Mustard

            “In my opinion..”

            ROFL

Russia gater devoid of any humility. You’d cut your nose off to spite your face Bertie.

          11. ReproBertie

Yes, in your opinion. Somehow you have looked at me reporting what was said in the report and come to the conclusion that this means I believe something. That’s you forming an opinion. It doesn’t make it true. Sorry but I don’t make the rules.

          12. Pat Mustard

“Well E’Matty, the report is chock full of evidence of Russian interference ”

Your own words, not my opinion.

            Stop pandering, and own them.

          13. ReproBertie

Yes, they are my words and I have no problem owning them. You see I do believe, based on the conclusions of the Mueller report, that there was Russian interference in the US 2016 presidential election.

Now, if you look closely you’ll notice that none of those words is “State”.

          14. ReproBertie

Well, not having been part of the investigative team I can only take the report based on their findings and I’ve already outlined above who the report says it was.

          15. E'Matty

So, contrary to the claims made for the past few years by the mainstream media and political class, there is no evidence whatsoever of any Russian State (or Putin directed) interference in the 2016 election. None. What we have been presented with instead is a fanciful claim that an online click bait commercial company that posted tweets and ads, half of which were posted AFTER the election, and which included cute puppies, pro and anti Trump, pro and anti Clinton, BLM, etc.. Tweets, posts and ads, was some kind of Russian plot? What exactly was this “plot” supposed to achieve and how?

Repro self servingly and misleadingly states “creating fake social media accounts, paying for anti-Clinton ads etc” ignoring the fact that the posts/ads included anti Trump and pro Clinton ads too.

Pat says “you stated that the accounts were traced back to some mate of putins which is a silky lie”
Repro responds – “It’s what the report says.” – Did the Report provide any evidence to support this claim or was it a “just trust us” claim like the Russian interference claims?

Chavez and Maduro would be 2012 and 2013 elections, so the US has been using a flawed and designed to be corruptible voting system for 8 years.

The system glitch just happened to transfer Trump votes to Biden and ignored other candidates.

I don’t believe any of this and it will be interesting to hear from this first hand witness and see that affidavit.

I also am ready to see evidence. TO ALL MY FELLOW DEMS, this has been OUR talking point for years since 2000 and the hanging chad situation in FL. The best and most researched article which will give you so much more accurate, researchable (with links) data I found is by attorney Jennifer Cohn, an election integrity advocate and writer. Bad news for republicans…you go down this road and you negate your 2016 win for Trump as well as possibly criminally connect McConnell, Graham, and others. Please research all for yourself.

  5. Jim

Yes a lot of this info came out years ago, Snowden, William binny etc. Spoke on and leaked on all this stuff back in 2012.

This is the first time evidence will be used in court. But it’s all there if anyone wants to look. Defcon even had a lad hack a machine on stage I think in 2017. Flip votes, show how to do it. All good info, all out there on the net.

    1. Daisy Chainsaw

Funny how they only hacked the Trump/Biden bit of the vote and not the whole ballot to give a Dem landslide… or would that have been too obvious?

          1. Pat Mustard

      1. f_lawless

But one could also reasonably say that making the following argument:

“the number of votes for the Dem party’s Senate candidates in swing states was far below the number of votes for Biden in those states therefore it indicates there was no fraud”

Is taking what is a red flag statistical anomaly and turning it on its head.

According to the Pew Research Center in late October :”Large Shares of Voters Plan To Vote a Straight Party Ticket for President, Senate and House” as is apparently largely the norm in US elections: “In an era of increasing partisanship, split-ticket voting continues to be rare in U.S. politics (at just 4%).” . And yet such large amounts of Biden voters didn’t vote for any senate candidate in those crucial swing states?/That’s a red flag.

        Worth a read:

‘In most elections, the majority of votes are cast “down the ticket” – meaning, a voter supports both party’s presidential nominee and state Congressional candidates. In fact, according to Pew Research (linked to article on PR website dated 21/10/20), “overwhelming shares of voters who are supporting Trump and Biden say they are also supporting the same-party candidate for Senate.”

Typically, this means that that the number of votes for a presidential candidate and that party’s Senate candidates are relatively close…however,.. the number of votes cast for Joe Biden far exceeds those cast for that state’s Senate candidates in swing states, while those cast for Trump and GOP Senators remains far closer.’

        https://www.zerohedge.com/political/why-does-biden-have-so-many-more-votes-democrat-senators-swing-states

          1. f_lawless

Maybe you’re not grasping the point I’m making?

The pattern observed with many Biden voters in swing states apparently not bothering to vote for the Dem senate candidate is directly at odds with historical voter trends. Not only that, but it’s at odds with research prior to the election by the Pew Research Center: that “eight-in-ten of voters” intended to vote for both the senate candidate of their preferred party as well as the presidential candidate.

            https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2020/10/21/large-shares-of-voters-plan-to-vote-a-straight-party-ticket-for-president-senate-and-house/

I don’t think it’s a compelling argument to say that this anomaly is not in any way suspicious and doesn’t warrant further investigation on the premise that for fraud to have occurred, it would have to have occurred with the senate candidates too

          2. Nigel

Since it benefitted Republicans, that points the finger at them, which is certainly consistent with the source of election supression, interference and attempted fraud so far.

          3. Cian

@SOQ ” the number of votes for a presidential candidate and that party’s Senate candidates are relatively close”

            Fake News!

Just looking at Michigan this year versus 2012 (there wasn’t a senate vote in 2016). We can see there were fewer votes cast in the Senate that Presidental election both years.

            2012:
            Presidential ballots: 4,730,961
            Senate ballots: 4,652,918 [78,000 fewer]

2020 (still counting, but 98% complete)
            Presidential ballots: 5,530,000
            Senate ballots: 5,470,000 [60,000 fewer]

Conclusion – we can’t have the same people voting for both, because many people don’t vote in the Senate.

Broken by candidate is more stark:
In 2012 the Democrat Senator got 2,735,826 votes (170K more than Obama’s 2,564,569)
The Republican got only 1,767,386 (400K less than Rooney’s 2,115,256)

            2020 we have the Democrat with 2,727,483 (80,000 fewer than Biden’s 2,796,702)
            Republican with 2,642,971 (8,000 fewer than Trump’s 2,650,695)

Conclusion – In 2012 there was no correlation between Senate and Presidential vote along party lines.

      1. ReproBertie

But only 4. One term president and the first president to lose the popular vote twice.

        So much winning.

          1. ReproBertie

            LOL!

There has been no fraud. All Trump’s claims have been investigated and debunked. His attack on the voting machines is based on a report on OAN which claims that Edison Research, an election monitoring group, had a report stating millions of votes for Trump were deleted. Edison Research has said they produced no such report.

There was an issue with machines in Antrim county, PA which was spotted during the count and corrected. There has been no evidence of a similar issue anywhere the machines were used.

Trump lost in the most secure election in US history.

          2. Nigel

There has? Where? The handful of pro-Trump cases? Lindsay Graham asking for legal ballots to be thrown out? Sabotaging the Post Office to delay and lose mail-in ballots? Closng voting stations in minority areas leading to 12 hour waits?

          3. ReproBertie

And yet you only have a go at people who say there is no fraud. I don’t see you telling anyone backing Trump to wait and see or questioning why they are doing so or dragging up something they posted years ago.

Yeah, you’re totally neutral. Less mustard and more beige.

          4. Pat Mustard

          5. ReproBertie

I wasn’t part of the Mueller team that did the investigation which looked at the evidence and concluded that there was Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential elections so I’m not sure what makes you think I got it wrong. Also, massive LOL at you thinking that you are somehow clobbering me.

There have been posts on this site, since Biden was announced the winner, saying Trump would yet win the election. You have not gone near those posts. Obvious bias is obvious. He lost, get over it.

Republicans trying to use concerns raised by Democrats that Republicans ignored to or denied as evidence in court is just so Trumpian.

  7. george

Any coverage of the claim by Georgia’s Republican secretary of state that Lindsey Graham pressured him to discount ballots? No? Ok then.

    1. ReproBertie

No coverage of the Lt. Governor of Texas offering a $1 million reward for evidence of fraud in the election either.

Spolier- it has not been claimed.

      1. Nigel

Even though, hilariously, there have been two or three cases of fraud put forward as claims – but they favoured Trump.

          1. ReproBertie

So why did you put a question mark on the end?

Of course it not having being claimed yet does not explain the lack of coverage of the reward.

          2. ReproBertie

This is a reward offered by a guy who retained his seat in the election he claims was rigged. I don’t think Republican fraud is what he’s looking for.

          3. Pat Mustard

Kinda like you believing Mueller and the intelligence services even though they’re proven liars.

          4. ReproBertie

Well I certainly didn’t say you believed Trump. It’s telling that you feel so keen to attack anyone who points out that he lost the election but I’m sure that’s just your desperate need to stop people from possibly embarrassing themselves by saying something before it’s finalised.

  8. SOQ

From what I can see- Dominion voting systems calculated the votes in 28 states.

Dominion uploads into a system called ‘Democracy Suite’ which is located in Frankfurt, Germany.

Dominion software apparently provides the facility to change votes and- this is documented in their user manual.

Both Democrat and Republican law makers have expressed concerns about this software in the past.

    Time will tell.

    1. ReproBertie

The Department of Homeland Security has already issued a statement saying “There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised.”

So the theory is that the Dems not only interfered with all the voting machines, but only for the presidential election, but also infiltrated the Department of Homeland Security and got the Election Infrastructure Government Co-ordinating Council to issue a statement that everything is fine. I look forward to all the evidence of this coming out aaaaaannnnny day now.

      1. Pat Mustard

I’d laugh if fraud was uncovered.

You carried on exactly the same way pre Mueller dud.

        Haven’t learnt much have you..

        1. ReproBertie

“I’d laugh if fraud was uncovered.”
          Don’t hold your breath.

Me, I’m laughing already at the desperation of the loser and his cult of followers.

          1. ReproBertie

I doubt you did Pat. It seems to me that the anger over the report showing Russian interference in the 2016 US election has been burning deep in your guts driving you to throw it around at every opportunity. The Russian interference in the 2016 US election has nothing at all to do with Trump losing the 2020 election but you can’t stop yourself from talking about it. In fact, you’re so obsessed with the report showing Russian interference in the 2016 US election that you throw Russia into conversations that have nothing to do with Russia or with US politics at all.

They have to find hundreds and thousands of miss applied votes
    or uncounted votes

    even more

this is a bit like the Munster Euro Election Count, when Liadh Ni Riarda SF got herself a full recount after 4 days or whatever, and there was talk of it taking another week or so.
but when it became obvious when the bundles were being recounted, there was no way she was ever going to find the number of votes to change the result
    she / SF quietly conceded

In any event, Trump is a Candidate
If he wants his votes recounted
    All of them
    Then why shouldn’t he

there is nothing going on there that the Dems/ Biden wouldn’t seek for themselves if they had to

    Same for Candidates here

Tis the bloody networks that are taking the weewee with it all tbh
The Silicon Bucks aren’t complaining either
They don’t want this to end anytime soon

    1. Nigel

He can’t because he has to abide by the election rules, which are different in different states, and absolutely nothing to do with Biden or the Dems. Besides, his claims are s outlandish there’s absolutely no reason to treat with him in good faith.

      1. V aka Frilly Keane

his claims are s outlandish there’s absolutely no reason to treat with him in good faith

        That’s not up to me
That’s entirely a matter for the respective Secretary of State for the State of wherever

        And as for Outlandish Claims
But shur’ his entire 2016 Campaign and his Presidency were filled with them
But it didn’t stop 70 plus million votes this time round

        I don’t like the man
        Any more than you
But let the voters / Election Officials decide
No point in ourselves claiming rights
Or mounting a proud boast in our own free speech Democracy
        Such as it is
Or bragging about how our own votes get counted

if we have no such respect for anyone elses

        1. Nigel

The election officials are deciding. Everything he’s entitled to, he’s getting. everything he isn’t, he isn’t. It’s driving him round the twist.

        2. Zen Sven

“I don’t like him but I think he should keep counting/discounting until he wins.” (Paraphrasing there, but yeah….)

          He lost, so please stop.

    2. george

      Simply not true.

There is no automatic right to a recount of all votes. It varies state to state and is often only allowed where that is a particularly narrow margin between the candidates. In Pennsylvania there is a recount if the difference between the two candidates is under 0.5% or if election officials fear discrepancies, fraud, or errors. Candidates don’t decide and have no means to request a recount.

And Democrats wouldn’t do this nor would most Republicans. Hilary didn’t do this, Bush Sr didn’t. They admitted they lost the election. Nobody, Democrat or Republican has ever done this before. Gore sought recounts because the election was decided by less than 200 votes in one state.

Trump doesn’t “have to” do this he is doing this to undermine the Biden administration and create a narrative where he doesn’t have to admit he lost and can try and run in 2024 with the claim he was robbed in 2020. He doesn’t care what damage he might do to the country, in fact he wants to do maximum damage in order to set the Biden administration off to a bad start. Don Jr. was nearly crying on TV because he sees his chance of running in 2024 are now zero unless his dad dies.
