During the Georgia Senate Government Oversight Committee looking at voting irregularities during the 2020 US Presidential Election.

Video footage from a count shows suitcases apparently filled with ballots pulled from under a table after supervisors told poll workers to leave and four people stayed behind to allegedly keep counting votes.

Georgia Republican Governor Brian Kemp roused the ire of President Trump in recent days for not doing more in response to reports of election fraud in his state. But that may be changing now that Gov. Kemp is calling for a signature audit after CCTV footage was presented on Thursday showing election workers purportedly unloading suitcases of hidden ballots.

Hours after the hearing, Gov. Kemp is reportedly now calling for a signature audit to be conducted in the state.

Note that the time counter stops updating on the bottom right camera – the one “proving” that there are no observers. Basically the observers leave at one point when counting isn’t happening, they then freeze that empty shot and wait until the counting resumes, and it looks like there are no observers.

      1. Fanacht

The counter on the bottom left frame also stops a couple of times – when there is no movement in the frame (motion sensitive?)

Either way – why are ballots suddenly being pulled from underneath the table after counting was “stopped” and everyone else sent home?

The video is corroboration of witness testimony.

“why are ballots suddenly being pulled from underneath the table after counting was “stopped” and everyone else sent home?”

Frances Watson, chief investigator for the Georgia secretary of state said:
Nobody told them to stay. Nobody told them to leave. Nobody gave them any advice on what they should do. And It was still open for them or the public to come back in to view at whatever time they wanted to, as long as they were still working.

Why are people still asking the questions that have already been answered about this thoroughly debunked claim?

That article doesn’t sound all that convincing to me. An unnamed person telling the reporter over the phone that he had been present and “nothing to see here”?

And right at the end of the article this paragraph:

“Section § 21-2-408 of the Code Of Georgia, which addresses poll watchers, explains that political bodies and parties are “entitled” to have official poll watchers. The secretary of state’s chief counsel told Lead Stories it was not a requirement that observers be present for counting to continue — only that it is their right to be there is (if?) they choose.”

Does the scenario sound credible that party poll watchers were told “hey just to let you know, there’s four suitcases of ballots under that table which was wheeled in early this morning. A few of us are going to stay on and scan them in but you guys can all go home if you like”. Poll watchers: “yeah do you know what, I’m tired of all this polarised atmosphere with suspicions of fraud hanging in the air. You guys go do your thing. You have our complete trust!”

          2. ReproBertie

“That article doesn’t sound all that convincing to me”

Named witnesses clarifying the procedure – not all that convincing

Randomer on Twitter claiming fraud based on viewing an out of context video- totally believable

          3. Brother Barnabas

youre wasting your time, Repro: they see and hear what they want to see and hear, nothing else – and if you continue to call them out on it, you’ll be accused of bullying

          4. SOQ

Ah come lads- SOMEONE told everyone to go home. Or did they all just take a notion within a minute of each other?

          5. f_lawless

I think you’re projecting there BB. I responded to RB’s article explaining why I don’t find it convincing
            – reporter says an unnamed person told her by phone that everything was above board.
            – article infers that because there is no state law requiring party officials to have poll watchers present for ballot counts, then the most credible explanation of what transpired is that the poll watchers all chose to leave in the knowledge that a few ballot counters were staying on to process further amounts of ballots without oversight. I’m saying this isn’t credible. If the poll watchers weren’t informed that further counting was going to happen, then this is grounds for a proper audit of the ballots

RB then responds with an irrelevancy – suitcases, boxes on wheels, it doesn’t matter – and “randomer on twitter” (?) Her name is Jackie Pick, attorney, speaking at a State Judiciary Committee hearing in Georgia.

          6. Nigel

So taken at face value – a dubious proposition at best – the worst this video can claim to prove is a lax procedure, a serious issue to be sure, but not fraud.

          7. Cian

Ah come lads- SOMEONE told everyone to go home. Or did they all just take a notion within a minute of each other?

according to the ‘fact check’ website, the guys that open the envelopes finished up (all envelopes were open) and they all headed home…. and other people followed them out.

I dunno if it is true, but it is plausible.

          8. ReproBertie

If you read the article you’d have read:
Election workers known as “cutters” because their job was to open absentee ballot envelopes and verify ballots for eventual scanning and counting were dismissed for the night sometime after 10 p.m. on November 3, 2020, because their work for the evening had been completed, [Gabriel Sterling, a Republican and Georgia’s voting system implementation manager,] explained. Those workers who remained were responsible for conducting the scanning portion of the process, since ballots could not be left without being scanned overnight

            Followed by

There was never an announcement made to the media and other observers about the counting being over for the night and them needing to leave, according to [Frances Watson, chief investigator for the Georgia secretary of state] who was provided information by the media liaison, who was present. She said they just followed the “cutters” as they left.

That’s the departure explained by named sources.

The paragraph at the end of the article is included to show that no law was broken by counting continuing after the observers had left which neutralises any claims of the situation making the count illegal.

Look lads, I think we can all agree that even if shenanigans went down, is the world not a better place with Biden in charge of the US

Trump is WAY too divisive. He’s like Feckin marmite.

I know family’s that are falling out over this stuff – and it’s not even their bloody country.

I literally do not care if they cheated.

Hey Bodger any chance you could put up a post about Melissa Carone’s testimony the other day as well for the laugh? Just coz, you know, you’re fair and balanced and all and definitely not what people accuse you of.

    1. Haroo

Honestly, I was just going to post a near replica of this comment.

      Broadsheet bias.

That woman in Michigan is unhinged.

      1. Haroo

I fairness I have started using Broadsheet more just to keep track of lunatic conspiracy theories about election fraud, great resets and plandemics.

        Newsworthy and factual = no.
Keeping abreast of what the mentally disturbed are influenced by and thinking = yes.

I do like the pictures though. Nice scenery shots, restored photoa and some good cartoons.

  3. ReproBertie

“Two high-level officials with the Georgia secretary of state’s office and a state elections board monitor each told Lead Stories that their investigations revealed nothing suspicious in the video. The officials said the ballots seen in the video were in regular ballot containers — not suitcases — and they had been removed from their envelopes and processed while news media and election observers for the Republican Party and Trump campaign were present.”

    Better luck next time!

    47 days.

    1. Junkface

It’s hard to know what is really going on in those videos, there is a lot of pausing, I wonder what it looks like played straight through? We can’t see exactly what kind of documents are being pulled out. I guess it is being closely scrutinized now by election investigators, and we will hear back in a day or two. Still, nothing changes about the result. No explosive evidence here yet.

        1. ReproBertie

The move review guy would we a welcome return, even if it was to review series on VOD or something.

  4. Junkface

Remember when Trump had undeniable evidence that Barack Obama was not born in the USA, that was solid. Ha ha!

  5. v AKA Frilly Keane

They way they conduct their counts is the real Con

Like – all this sneering at Trump’s people
is a bit narrowminded and short tempered in fairness
When you take a look at how they count their votes

no matter what they were doing there in that video
No matter what she says it is, or what they say it is
    Until the result is declared
NO WAY should Ballots be left unattended and Unsupervised by local Police, Security whatever + Party Observers, the Candidates themselves, and Count workers, the Returning Officer
For the nit combing pedants, I know the titles there would be different but the roles should be self explanatory

Something else, NO BOX should be hidden
No drapes or cloths or anything should be blocking or hiding ANY voting paraphernalia
All sealed ballot boxes must be in clear sight of anyone at all times
    nothing is concealed
and the seals broken in full view of who ever wants to see it

No box should even be handled without it being in full sight of Observers, Count Staff, Returning Officers and Police whatever

The way the press and observers are cornered away there denies them access
    no doubt about it
doesn’t matter who they are or what station they are from
they should have free access to view everything
Here if you have a count centre pass, you can come and go as you please
    without touching
and they are entitled to query every move by the Count Staff – and even point out an error
like that’s a spoiled vote there

    Easily done there in ‘Merika
just Perspex Screen off all the staff desks and stacks of ballot boxes
or cordons, like we have here
all desks, tables, racks, whatever to be outward facing

and let everyone wander around and see for themselves

    That Count there
    Is a con
    And don’t say tisn’t

the very fact that investigators, and that lawyer herself seems pretty together in fairness,
the very fact that they can’t even identify the count centre personnel in that video
especially the man in the red or the one with the braids who told observers and media to go home
Only the Returning Officer or their Delegated Staff can do that so who is she?

You can actually see them putting drapes over tables
    Christ t’night
there isn’t even cameras over the machines
like how does anyone even know the ballots were even put into the machines
Feic who owns them, how do you know there were operated properly, paper right way up n’all that
or that it was even turned on
They could even be shredders for all we can see there

    And that the Con

      1. V AKA Frilly Keane

But I’ve been at enough counts to know how they’re conducted
And how Ballot boxes are managed and how the votes should be counted
        Including transfers and preferences

Anyone who’s being at any Irish Count Centre can spot a half a dozen things wrong with those stills there alone

        Here’s one I didn’t mention earlier

The count staff and ballots are not visible at all times

They should be in the centre of a large room for starters
Or at least against a full wall squared off and facing out to observers along three sides

We might have plenty criticisms about our own elections
Particularly the campaigns and the outcomes
But you’ll find zero fault with how our votes get collected, managed, supervised, observed
        And above all else

Even the spoilt and uncertain votes are laid out
One by one for full viewing and contesting

          1. bisted

…good idea Cian…Trump could stay on for a few months…negotiate with other like-minded parties…come to a deal where he agrees to step down (snigger) only to return as leader even though he’s been soundly rejected by the electorate…

          2. v AKA Frilly Keane

            tell ya what tho

the Secretary of State for the State of …. the bloody lot of them
should come over here and see how we do stuff

I’m appalled at the state of that Count Centre there
Like, its not just Biden and Trump ballots

there were down ticket races as well
those candidates should have something to say
From Lollipop lady jobs up to the Governor
all those races/ candidates should be involved in this case

the billions they collect to run their campaigns
and they can’t be bothered to ensure a decent count at the end of it all

            ah this is all nonsense

    1. george

Definitely a con? So, Trump definitely won and in 2016 when they did things the same way Hilary definitely won?

      1. SOQ

The main difference is the number of mail in ballots which is universally accepted as the least secure means of voting- epically in states which never done it before.

        1. ReproBertie

“mail in ballots which is universally accepted as the least secure means of voting”

          Really? Universally accepted?

“Much of the debate about postal voting in Britain has revolved around questions of fraud and abuse of the system. These issues have not been at the centre of the debate elsewhere. As an evaluation by the National Conference of State Legislatures concluded: ‘Opponents have charged that the system [of postal voting] is susceptible to fraud and that some voters may be coerced to vote a certain way. Despite allegations, no widespread voter fraud has been proved’. ”
          – Matt Qvortrup, Frist past the Postman: Voting by Mail in Comparative Perspective, September 2005.

“Are mail ballots an invitation to massive fraud?

Voting by mail is almost certainly the safest way to vote — by far — if the pandemic persists, as is likely, into November.
Is it totally free from fraud? No. In 1997, an ex-mayor of Miami won another term by paying a small army of fixers to generate false absentee ballots. More recently, the 2018 election for a congressional seat in North Carolina was invalidated and had to be run again after a worker for the Republican candidate in one county collected hundreds of absentee ballots, including blank ones, from local homes.

The catch, as those cases suggest, is that such schemes are incredibly hard to pull off undetected. A fraud big enough to swing any but the very closest elections is easily caught by looking for statistical outliers in vote totals, checking signatures and conducting basic detective work. Carrying an entire state election by mail ballot fraud would be a nigh-impossible triumph of concealment in all but a harrowingly close contest.

Elections in Colorado, Washington and Oregon, the three states that have primarily used voting by mail for the longest time, have seen no significant increase in fraud.”
          – New York Times, “Which Party Would Benefit Most From Voting by Mail? It’s Complicated”, May 2020.

There’s also this article which examines how states prevent fraud on mail in ballots. It includes the following quote from Julie Wise, the director of King County elections in Washington State. – “I guarantee you that vote-by-mail is more secure and more accurate than polling place elections.”

Perhaps you have other articles that show where mail in ballots are universally accepted as the least secure method of voting?

          1. SOQ

Absentee ballots are only allowed in most European countries except under justifiable circumstances.

Slightly different to US states mailing one out to everyone on the electoral register now don’t you think?

          2. ReproBertie

And that proves that mail in ballots are universally accepted as the least secure method of voting how?

    2. jungleman

Oh and let’s not forget that influence stuff you were teaching us all about earlier, very important..

  6. george

They did a second count to verify the result. This was done by hand with observers. Biden still won.

Then a machine recount. Still Biden.
