While there’s a whole thread about the RTÊ accounts it may have passed unnoticed that TG4 now has more viewers than BBC2 & Channel 4. 83% of adults watched TG4 last year. Ag dul ó neart go neart!
The channel that brought the first season of ‘The Wire’ to our screens shortly after it was released.
The rest of the world caught up, eventually.
I love TG4 too.
I remember their ambition.
It was evident in their first 6 months.
Fantastic stuff!
And then THIS happens…
JR is a superb 1-on-1 interviewer, it has to be said
but those xmas lights behind him are really distracting
Ooooooh, spot the one who was breastfed as a child.
actually no
Thanks, Brother, unplugging now!
UK population down 1.3 million. If it is only Covid, wouldn’t lots of Brits being returning home, balancing out the departures? Another Brexit shambles.
brilliant interview and info. nice job gents
Will Wyatt Twerp enjoy being probed?
Special request. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NqnRoy8P18I
The Tories tearing up EU working rights……..who would vote for that? If only Brexidiots knew what EU regulations were there to protect them.
that ship has sailed – let them own it now and be done.
Speaking of ships…

This says it all to me OB:
https://www.theguardian.com/music/2021/jan/14/brexit-touring-row-uk-proposals-not-fit-for-purpose-says-eu
‘Having refused to include a chapter on mobility in the Brexit agreement, the UK government rejected the EU’s standard offer of visa-free short stays – working up to 90 days in a 180-day period – and a list of paid activity exemptions that could exclude musicians, artists, sportspeople and journalists from the requirement to seek visas to work in individual member states. This offer was incompatible with the Conservative manifesto commitment to taking back control of Britain’s borders, the government claimed.’
talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face..
I saw that yesterday.
Here’s my favourite bit – “Speaking to the liaison committee on Wednesday, prime minister Boris Johnson did not appear to grasp the situation facing British touring acts, incorrectly stating that British musicians have “the right to go play in any EU country for 90 out of 180 days” – the EU proposal that the government turned down.”
tories are sniggering up their sleeves at the working class’s naivety
regain our sovereignty? regain our privilege, more like
Anyone who thinks the Tories ever will or would give a damn about workers rights (amongst many other things) only has themselves to blame when the scorpion stings the frog….
Next up – At-will terminations for the great American NHS firesale.
If the EU were efficient they would have known that Cepol EU dosh intended for Garda training College ended up in senior Garda private credit union accounts. And white collar crime in our country is frankly embarrassing .
The Tories removing EU laws that protect workers……..who would vote for that? If only Brexidiots knew what EU regulations were there to protect them.
Captivating interview.
What are the British doing in a 48 hour week? The trend is to shedding hours, France has a 35 hours work week for many years now. How have EU regulations been protecting the British workers if the same rules applied throughout the EU, perhaps GB didn’t get the memo?
Some good news:
‘Bord Na Mona jas formally ended all peat harvesting.’
