‘Probably’ will make a difference but ‘no data’ to indicate that it does is not bloody well contradictory for feck’s sake it just means there hasn’t been an actual study. Cop on.

Sir Humphrey : With Trident we could obliterate the whole of Eastern Europe.

Jim Hacker : I don’t want to obliterate the whole of Eastern Europe.

      Sir Humphrey : It’s a deterrent.

      Jim Hacker : It’s a bluff. I probably wouldn’t use it.

Sir Humphrey : Yes, but they don’t know that you probably wouldn’t.

Jim Hacker : They probably do.

Sir Humphrey : Yes, they probably know that you probably wouldn’t. But they can’t certainly know.

Jim Hacker : They probably certainly know that I probably wouldn’t.

Sir Humphrey : Yes, but even though they probably certainly know that you probably wouldn’t, they don’t certainly know that, although you probably wouldn’t, there is no probability that you certainly would.

    oh just wee wee off

bloody sick of them, not just the yokes that now fill up my pockets, handbag, work bag, car , office whathaveya
or the silly personal novelty ones
even ones with Panda bears on them

P’ing sick of seeing them, plus gloves, littering everywhere

we’re bloody tripping over them, car parks, paths, road sides, hedges, bin areas, bus stops
no matter where you look there’s a mask or a glove minging up with dirt and muck

they are the new used, fecklessly disguarded dirty johnny

the more of this crap flickering through the news, the more I’m convince we’ll never see the end of it
so shove that up your vaccination pole Charage

    Fauci is an absolute spoofer
He fooled naive sections of the media
He messed up AIDS and he is continuing his trajectory with COVID

a scientist by qualification, but He’s a career public servant first and foremost

      and always will be

Don’t trust his instincts on anything
because it will always be ‘Department’ led policy, and whatever his boss(s) in Government tell him to say

The B.1.1.7 version of the virus can get through a normal surgical mask. Germany and Austria give 3 free Ffp2 masks to the vulnerable and they buy their own after that. Last Thursday week Ronan Glynn told the press conference we only have enough Ffp2 masks for doctors and everyone else should stay home. Ffp2 masks are triple layer surgical masks with a closer fit. If you don’t have a safe mask and you have to go out double masking might be the gamble you need to tell yourself you’re protected.

But Dave, the masks we’re all wearing are not – and never have been – about protecting the wearer from Covid.

They’re to help prevent the wearer spreading Covid if they have it.

Or so I’ve been assuming for about a year now

Exactly, you wear a mask to protect me, I wear one to protect the next person etc etc.

Then you meet the gombeen who refuses and the chain is broken and someones Granny becomes a memory and a statistic.

Hmmm. People will wear a mask to protect the NHS but won’t wear a mask to protect themselves/pet owners make sure their pets complete their course of medicine but then do not complete their own prescriptions. Your reverse psychology doesn’t work on me. My mask protects me and those around me . And yes people in spreader masks really piss me off.

To be fair, those two statements (assuming they’re accurately reported) aren’t contradictory.

Wear one at least anyway folks, be grand.
