    6 shillings and 6 pence seems a steep price to pay in 1924 for a dance ticket. I assume that gallant football and hurling men at the time were expected to buy tickets for themselves and the ladies they accompanied to the event? 13 bob was a fair whack to enjoy an alcoholfree allnight entertainment.
