Behold: Carroll Shelby’s 1966 427 Super Snake CSX 3015 – the ultimate AC Cobra – built for, owned and raced by the man himself.
Described as ‘the Cobra to end all Cobras’ this 800bhp, 7.0l twin-supercharged V8 was capable of 306km/h – quite something in the mid 1960s.
The car goes to auction in March and the final sale price of such an automotive unicorn is anyone’s guess.

Love that colour
You’re wrong Bert.
State of it.
( I must have been hacked )
That’s better
I’m not loving this
too slow ?
Them’s a lot of guages to be consulting as you hurl along at 306 km/h.
Also, the red labels on the dash look like they’re from an old Dymo; which is either appropriately retro, or very cheap.
Ah here – it’s a legendary 55 year old race car. It’s not your ma’s 2012 Nissan Micra!
I’ll have you know that my Ma’s Micra us the GLX, not the base model.
Confirming why it was known as “The Widowmaker”…
Racing with an automatic gearbox in the 1960s.
Some mistake surely.
