    in fairness to her, maybe she doesnt agree with the rules of the road and reckons all those regulations, speed limits, license requirements, insurance nonsense, state telling her which direction she has to go on which side of the road etc is all just an attempt by the some unknown elite to control and restrict us

    like how many people actually die from road accidents? only around 100 a year. sure that’s nothing. it’s all a massive overreaction.

      Freemen of the land do go around using the same reasoning to argue with gardaí about why their cars aren’t taxed and insured.

    What an embarrassment for the Garda. Seriously, all those cars necessary! Was that the entire Dublin squad chasing her?

      I see in the papers the chase lasted approx 55 mins (Irish Mirror so who knows really…)
      I have no idea how much gets spent on equipment and training but the entire thing looks chaotic and reactionary – for a batallion of them to be led for almost an hour by someone with no specialised equipment or training and probably very little premeditated strategy.
      Maybe they should pop ’round to Smyths and get some walkie-talkies so they can share info and adapt in real time! Very embarrasing for the Guards.
      I got one of these vids via Whatapp last night – I’d say the Whatsapp Groups within the Guards were hopping last night!
      I am doing my mothers tax return at the min, and here I am worrying about Capital Allowances of a couple of Euro – when Donald Trump and this woman go to show just how far you can push the State and for how long. I clearly overestimate their competance :-)

      When the car stops eventually they don’t know what situation they’ll be dealing with. Better to have too many than too few. Also if the car entered an estate they could split up and block the potential exits.

      People complain about the number of Gardai as though it isn’t fair. It isn’t supposed to be fair, MrsDubBudTender sped through a checkpoint.

    With a porcupine the prick is on the outside ! :)
    But really folks do the Gardai or in this case the Keystone cops really need to demonstrate their totally inept management/training by having 90% + of the Garda vehicles follow in single file behind her? They really, really need some basic pursuit training.

      What do you propose the Gardai do? If they speed up she speeds up.
