Pepe Le Pew – sex pest and racist stereotype, something for everybody to be outraged by

Looking forward to his Oprah interview…

Those psycho gulls are going to have something to say about the budgie smugglers… they are tantamount to an invitation for a chip starved gull..

Tuesday seems to have arrived 1.5 hours earlier than usual. Has somebody on the Journal staff a desire to get International Women’s Day over and done asap?

Boris always had the highest admiration for the queen, he says.
So much so that he lied to her back in 2019 when he wanted to suspend parliament. Such admiration.

  4. GiggidyGoo

Carefully phrased sentences by Byrne. As regards closing the bond desk.
“Following the decision, none of the 16 individuals involved in the 2014 transaction are working in Davys”
Are they working with another group company?
We are told “Davy Group is an independent company owned by management and staff”
So regardless of whether someone no longer works there, it’s very possible that they own part of the company.

How will the local financial regulators in London, Chicago and Luxembourg react now?

One the main reasons people work in NY is deal flow and yes tax,but deals like Davy’s.

Instead paying ordinary income tax,you take piece the action and pay CGT (lower) on deals,oh you can also do something know as a 1031 tax free exchange, where you roll your winnings and the tax into another investment.

These are house deals or friends and family and you have get invited into them,at the better shops as they see all the deals,Goldman Sachs does not currently recommend cannabis investments, except to its high net worth (north 10 mill liquid) private clients and partners, who are among the biggest, most reliable sources start up/angel/hard money teams out there.

Davy doing street smart deals is GOOD for Ireland, the partners all live work here, send their kids best schools, buy large loud motors, spend way too much money in bars and restaurants, the other dude on that deal is off shore.

Using Leo’s analogy,if terenure college wanted quietly, quickly and just one time(cash close) on the few extra acres out back they been quietly marketing, approached Marc Fitz.
Now Marc knows this may be not all on the up and up,so decides low ball them and buy it himself with his team.

      To me good for Marc.

except no EU market rules being breached in that case

and youd assume that if there were issues that emerged during a high court hearing, he’d have the sense then to hold his hands up – rather than “wilfully obstructing” subsequent inquiry

and davys defence is still that the 16 kept it from their compliance section – despite it being well known that people in compliance are in the 16

it’s not even the deal at this stage – it’s their lies and incompetent handling of things since

if the partnership were acting on own volition without any sanction or involvement from davys, why did Davys- rather than the 16 – pay €2.8m to kearney in HC settlement ? why would the firm do that?

      2. Johnny

GG-first of thanks for the dig out last few days, when the personal attacks/insults were flying, nice one.

The regulators in NY-would not be bothered in slightest by this deal,in order to win someone has lose.

Davy’s annual trading volume is less than blackrocks daily, its just sour grapes by a sore loser,he will be banned from the casino.

The guy at the IT always gets everything wrong, regulators in New York try protect smaller investors, not big girls,he only opened his account to unload his toxic Anglo paper, ill gotten from joining the maple 10.

He had it coming, they should have used more lube by letting him know the buyer,or bought him flowers after …

      3. Johnny

Bro,the first rule of fight club is…
        I’ve no idea if that’s a statement or a question,but they ALL guilty,everyone is:)
I’m guilty supporting irish based wide boys/spivs/deal makers and people with boo boos.
        You?

        1. Brother Barnabas

truth is that I couldnt care less about the kearney scam – he can look after himself. but this is just one that they got caught on because details came out during HC case. getting away with this stuff every day. I’ve been around davy (and other) heads bragging and guffawing about NAMA deals theyve personally benefitted from- ripping off the taxpayer and loving it. and that’s why I’m delighted to see them hauled out this time.

          1. johnny

NAMA is the biggest heist in state history, steady with the ‘taxpayer’ nonsense, its the state, people on benefits and the less well off pay every day for NAMA.

Davy grabbing a slice is GREAT for ireland, who you think supports all those yoga studios, buys all those oat milk lattes, yank vulture funds ?

Distressed debt, anglo bonds,is where once superstar traders who have a coke habit had resign and go back work.
If you were a partner say at a white shoe law firm (jones day) hit a ‘deer’ in greenwich -code for illegal immigrant minding his own business walking home-you resign go work in ‘anglo’ bonds with likes paddy…yuck in other words.

Its Dennis O’Briens domain and home.

Its the outer limits of banking, the profane the big and hairy deals, third world sovereign debts, arms makers, anglo irish bank…..Digicel.

Soccer players, rock stars, rte personalities are not adverse to showing off a bit,but most firms will fire you on spot, if you end up in papers with ‘loads money’ energy, its just not on these days.

        1. Bitnboxy

Quite striking to contrast the (Murdoch) press treatment of Markle with Prince Andrew. Andrew’s, cough, “misdeeds” swiftly brushed under the carpet after rudimentary reporting. The world and Buckingham Palace get in a tizzy over Harry and Meghan – were it only the case that Andrew’s “behaviour” could rouse such similar feeling!

          1. millie bobby brownie

Yeah that is just… Ick. There’s no justifying the disparity between the two stories.

          2. Charger Salmons

            Rudimentary reporting ?
Here’s 25 pages of archives on the Prince Andrew story just from the Sun to be going on with.
            There are many more.
But only one post from you needed to prove you’re an idiot.

          3. Bitnboxy

Riling a layabout like Charage! Glorious.

Does one need any more confirmation that one’s point is well made than Charage scrambling for a slur as a riposte.

            As I said, glorious.

Boris swerves comments on Ginger and Sparkle.
    Starmer demands an inquiry.
Every time Labour approach a missing manhole cover in the road they jump into the hole.
    Every.single.time.

I did warn yesterday that Mehole was softening y’all up for bad news on de jabs and here it comes.
Less than half the predicted doses for the first quarter from all three EMA-approved vaccines.
    And that magic bullet one-shot J&J ?
” Sources said the current expectation is also that once the vaccine is delivered to Ireland, the initial volumes will be low, and will ramp up during the summer. ”
    The summer.
You’ve been had once again suckers …

      Charger’s Jab Jibber-Jabber™
( Back by popular demand )

      What’s that you say ?
How is good old Blighty getting on while Ireland fails miserably with its vaccine targets ?
Well, go on then if you insist.

The NHS is expecting a significant increase of supply to arrive from AstraZeneca, and will roll it out from March 15.
Jabs will increase to close to 500,000 every day, or up from around 2 million a week now to 3 million.
To match the increase in supply, vaccine centres are being expanded and NHS stewards are being asked to volunteer for more shifts.
Officals are cautious, but the stats suggest all over 50s (groups 1-9) may now be jabbed by the end of March – two weeks early.
      The end of March.

Heh x not a bad effort all things considered.
Anyway, you can get back to the royal soap opera now…

      Marvellous™

how odd is that the brits are losing their sh1t over “toxic accusations” when we’re talking about a nazi-suporting cabal that’s been protecting and facilitating rapists and paedophiles for years?

    1. Rob_G

While I agree with the broad thrust of your argument, I think ‘nazi-suporting cabal’ is over-egging the pudding a bit, if not even a bit insulting: both Liz and Philo actually fought in a war against Nazism.

      1. Brother Barnabas

arguably the war against nazism wouldn’t have been necessary if the british royals hadn’t earlier enabled nascent nazism

    2. Junkface

Don’t forget, Prince Andrew has a real condition that means he can’t sweat! He actually said this, haha, crazy.

      1. Clampers Outside

        It’s called anhidrosis, it’s a real condition.

        Also… babies can’t sweat.
I only learnt that a year or so ago :)

        1. Junkface

Really? Its real!!? But does prince Andrew actually have it? There are many photos of him with big wet patches under his arms, videos too.

  8. Charger Salmons

It’s a while since we’ve had a ” why is Charger posting about the UK on an Irish forum ” whine-athon.
I miss the old days …

    Heh,heh,heh.

Millie I’m a shrinking violet me.
But every time I try to leave they pull me right back in.

“I get so much personal abuse”

        “Hey, where’s my personal abuse?”

A new type of pathetic, even for you.

  9. Dr.Fart

the royals are so racist that just having black hair is seen as being not white. Like honestly, she just full on looks like a white woman.

    1. Lilly

I did laugh as she was dancing with a group of black girls in one of the colonies and spoke of the importance of having role models who look like oneself.

  10. Nigel

If you’ve been poking around in the muck of the Royals story, here’s the truffle:

    https://www.irishtimes.com/culture/tv-radio-web/harry-and-meghan-the-union-of-two-great-houses-the-windsors-and-the-celebrities-is-complete-1.4504502

‘Having a monarchy next door is a little like having a neighbour who’s really into clowns… more specifically, for the Irish, it’s like having a neighbour who’s really into clowns and, also, your grandfather was murdered by a clown.’

  11. Papi

A black (gasp), female (gasp) talk show host has done more to wreck the monarchy than the inbreeding and paedo hiding ever has.
    Glorious.

    1. Junkface

Americans love the Royal family. They are endlessly fascinated by them. I think it will lead to more profit for them in the long run.
