Sure, did you see the scrote in the papers yesterday with 196 convictions caught taking all the staffs belongings from the Mater hospital?

He had a tough childhood, has overcome his drinking problem, has a new baby, has turned over a new leaf, was under the influence of narcotics at the time and deeply regrets his actions – 20 quid in the poor box and don’t let me see you back here again…for at least a week!

Two reasons in my opinion for this sort of thing you mention above.

      1. They (successive governments) will not spend money on increasing prison sizes or workable programs to try steer people away from criminality, but when they do, they spend ridiculous amounts on a field then do nothing with it.

      2. Too many barristers rely way too much on repeat offending. If someone is not in jail, how can those poor barristers get paid? No, let them out to reoffend, Barrister needs a new Porsche. It seems the judges take their poor buddies lifestyles into account when sentencing. Rape should carry far higher sentences due the possibility of re-offending.

Completely agree, it’s a merry-go-round and if you follow the money you reach some very unsavoury conclusions about who benefits and why it’s in their interests to spew them back onto the streets and nurture career criminals.

That is mental! We have the finest inner city scobies in the world! Quite an achievement, nicking the van with Gards still in it.

      Mmmf…

Between this and the lady who led them on a 23 cop car chase – makes my heart swell with pride ;-)

      SCANGERZ RULEZ!!!

I can be very, very critical of AGS at times but I do know that that chase had so many Garda cars involved as there was a real fear of her killing multiple people at the time so they created a sort of rolling cordon to contain her and try and keep her away from other drivers.

Of course nobody was killed so it was all a big laugh, but imagine if she had? In this case, they did the right thing, 20 odds cars to ensure nobody dies is a good trade off in my opinion. They make mistakes and we hammer them for it, but when they keep us safe nobody says a word.

They are only human, some are idiots, many are just ordinary decent people doing their best without decent backup from management.

It does highlight the sheer professionalism and amazing athletic abilities of the Boys in Blue…

    Bloody Keystone cops!

I’d prefer keystone cops to them blowing people away with itchy trigger fingers like they do in the US.

or battering the beejesus out of you in Paris unless they are trying to flirt/ bully your mobile number out of you

Why has no one actually watched the video, closely for the facts here?
The driver of the van is clearly a Garda. The guy can be seen running on the path beside the van once the camera turns, they are following him to grab him, the Garda who falls out of the van just has bad luck.

    Ah lads….!

This was on Reddit yesterday, I think they concluded that a Guard was driving the van. Its just presented in a way to seem otherwise.
