This morning.

Further to the Irish Daily Mail‘s exclusive (top) earlier…

…The Beacon Hospital has confirmed it administered 20 leftover Covid-19 vaccines to a number of teachers at St Gerard’s School in Bray earlier this week.

In a statement, the hospital apologised for the upset caused by the move, acknowledging that “the decision was not in line with the sequencing guidelines in place from the HSE“.

St Gerard’s School in Bray has said it will not be making any comment on the matter.

Super headline. So apt. Why St Gerards I wonder? Well, if all the stuff we are being fed about COVID-19 by the HSE and the government is correct, then this has probably killed a few people, so obviously the HSE is going to carry out an inquiry into this, possibly even RTE might video the persons who made this decision walking in and out of the Beacon just like they videoed those pensioners coming back from the Canaries at Dublin airport a couple of months ago?

Right? Or are we just living in a parallel reality of government manipulation for no useful purpose? I think our bright media-savvy deserve better Irish people will be drawing their own conclusions v. v. shortly.

The Beacon is full of sick people if they had vaccines left over.

The children of Michael Cullen, CEO of the Beacon, go to that school. The elite sticking to us again.

    1. V AKA Frilly Keane

And what they love is being referred to, and recognised as The Elite
      The more oxygen this gets
      And more more angst generated
The more they revel in it all

If the School name itself wasn’t mentioned
      They’d be disgusted

    2. Junkface

It’s a crazy story. The neck on these feckers! There are still so many sick and old people who could have used that vaccine.

  3. GiggidyGoo

12+ km between the two. Delivery service too?. On the lines of ‘Just eat’ or ‘Deliveroo’?
    5km limit and all that.

    1. goldenbrown

correct, if it was administered @Beacon

also, what’s the craic for the administering of their second dose?

does old skool tie get to jump that queue as well?

    2. Cian

The 5km limit applies to exercise. Nothing else.

If you need to see a doctor/get a vaccine/go to hospital then distance is not relevant.

Oh, allowing these teachers to skip the queue is not acceptable and there should be some repercussion.

      1. goldenbrown

yep, apols you are correct on that distance limit situation

I’m torn on the repercussions….not sure exactly what the teachers were supposed to do here? they’ve been placed in a bit of a awkward position, no?

it’s the pair of old skool ties that organised this jape that should be held accountable imho

      2. GiggidyGoo

So if I drive 10km and sit in my car looking out over a view, without exercising that’s OK?. Why are gardai turning people back, and fining them, telling them they’re not allowed to travel?

        1. Cian

you are not allowed out of your house “without good reason”
one reason is exercise – that is limited to 5km
another reason is to go to the doctor/dentist/vet – that isn’t limited to a specific distance

“going for a drive and looking at the view” isn’t deemed a good reason, so you get sent home/fined.

I wonder would the hospital like to confirm if cleaning or catering staff have been vaccinated?

    1. johnny

oh daisy dharling,of course you inject the help first, how else would you know, you know, if….

    2. GiggidyGoo

The crèche workers who take care of the children of the staff of the Beacon did last week.

  5. Gringo

My 100 year old aunt would like a jab but I assume she has to wait her turn with all the other plebs

  6. Gringo

Well, she is wheelchair bound, so unless she scooted into town while we weren’t looking , I doubt it. Maybe it fell into an important persons arm by mistake? So tell us Lingo, are you one of those geezers whose job is to persuade us of an alternate reality?

    1. Daisy Chainsaw

Maybe there’s a better website you could ask on cos BS has no control over who gets the jab. Contact her GP and ask why she’s been overlooked.

  7. GiggidyGoo

So what kind of doctors have we that put those kind of descriptions of themselves on Twitter.

  8. Unreal

Every person irrespective of their perceived socioeconomic status deserves to be vaccinated …
